  • Nice Renegade there Mark
  • Thanks David. I picked this and another Aus Os up a few months ago-don't have any Aussie posters yet & this one had a lot of nice color and artwork. It's seen some rough handling that's for sure & is in need of some restoration. :-?
  • At first thought I would only buy posters of movies id seen...then saw the variety out there! TC image

Love anything that has old planes, trains, ships, autos...
  • There are some people who do consider not a serious collector if you haven't seen the movie, I always answer 'On that basis are cigarette card collectors required to smoke?' I remember seeing some LCs on EMP that seemed to collect anything that had an image of someone in a bath.

As always, there is one rule, collect what you like...then again, "planes, trains, ships, autos..." better bring a big wallet, could be a most interesting and certainly very large collection!
  • Collecting memorabilia from a movie I haven't seen has usually prompted me to want to see the film.

In other words...the memorabilia whether it be LC's or posters, etc. are still doing their job decades later.
  • Indeed! Could be a daunting task to get the older travel images, but figure I've got at least another 2-3 decades left so gonna try! \:D/ Yeah, I see the older movie titles & think where I'm gonna find the DVD? Amazon I guess-and yeah, those awesome images make me want see the movie! :)>-
  • As for that smoking thing...Cubans wouldn't be a horrible thing every now & then... :D
  • Some of the old movies with great posters don't always stand the test of time.

Indeed! I watched Luxury Liner-1933 George Brent- about a year ago-not that good-a true B movie from the contract/studio era. Has not aged well... :-<
  • Ok Mark, put your thinking cap on. You're up for Avatar theme week.
  • Thanks Matt! I posted in the Avatar thread-is it only for a week? Month?
  • B-) Technically a week but sometimes it lasts longer.
  • Nice! Colours really pop!
  • Thanks! I really liked the facial expression on the moon! He seems to kind if have this leering/mischievous look on his face! ;)

1940-OS-got this a few months ago-a few stains- But good shape!
  • I had never read much about Jackie Cooper but just discovered he's buried in Arlington National Cemetery! Served with distinction in the Navy during WWII.
  • Got a great eye Mark.
  • Thanks! Some day I'll learn how to post the pix correctly! :-?
  • My 2nd "Other Company" OS...think EMP has it identified as "Leader Press."... image
  • Some really nice stuff you have there, Mark. I haven't been buying recently but this is giving me the itch!
  • Thanks! I kinda lean toward a older material, but I've seen so much newer paper (70s-present) that I've started to look at more items now.
  • Nice pick up once again Mark.
  • Thanks David...
