Hi everyone, just finished moving across the United States… It’s been a while since I posted anything and finally getting things unpacked. I thought I would share this with the group, an original one sheet for None Shall Escape, style B. This is an early Christmas present from two very good friends of mine… When I opened it I thought… Wait a second I was bidding on this a few months ago and my friend said… Yes, I outbid you.You never know who you’re bidding against… Glad this boomeranged back into my collection. Happy holidays everybody, have a safe and happy end of the year.
A movie, with one actress and two actors that I am familiar with. that I have never heard of. Interestingly no film distributor credit.
The signature of the one time director Ned Hochman is interesting. Apparently he walked out on the film before it was completed, and cast member actor Skip Homeier completed it, but he never received a screen credit.
Hi Hondo, Ned directed almost all of the film but Skip Homeier asked to direct a couple of scenes. Ned said sure, why not? I can tell you that Ned was the director from beginning to end. I saw a reel of outtakes and some of the original takes with slates and Ned’s name was on the majority. Homeier’s name was on the slate a director for several shots including some unused takes of Ms. Garland walking along a street as I recall. Ned completed the film and as far as I know it was released in the States on a regional basis. Ned had a 16mm print of Stark Fear that we watched in film class and a 35mm Fine Grain that I hope still exists. Ned was one of the finest men I’ve ever known and a fantastic motion picture professor and friend. For more on Ned, check out the documentary “Ned Hockman Immortalized” on YouTube.
I’m searching for more material on this rare film. I only have the One Sheet, a lobby and Pressbook.
Thanks mrpaisley for supplying your details regarding the Skip Homeier directing involvement . My information was only based on the following Stark Fear published IMDb trivia entry.
Beverly Garland says this is her least favorite of all the movies she's made. She also said that first-time director Ned Hochman walked off the set after disagreements with the cast and producers, and that co-star Skip Homeier finished directing the picture. IMDb Trivia.
Good luck in your continued search for more material on the film.
This is totally off-topic… But while looking through my paper… I found an animation Cel I bought on eBay a few years back… it was offered as an original production cel for a Daffy duck film… After some research, it looks like it is from 1941’s Henpecked Duck.

All the best for the festive season.
Here is a handy checklist to help tell eMoviePoster.com apart from all other major auctions!
