While I'm not huge into the kustom kulture/Rat Fink artwork style of Ed Roth, I figured it would be remiss of me not to add this 1 sheet to the collection:
And only a 13"x19" mini poster given out at opening night of IMAX showings, I thought I should add this one as well:
Yeah, I looked it up on IMDB and it's a partially animated doc. I googled to see if it was streaming anywhere. It said Kanopy (not super familiar with that channel) for free, Prime for about 4 bucks (of course) and another channel I don't recall. I'd be surprised if some company isn't reissuing the models. That was definitely back in the heyday of Monogram, Aurora (who I think did the Universal horror models) and other similar companies.
Just a quick new one for me. A silent western short, with a little bit of romance, a guy geeked out about a car and some drama. Some things about men never change.
Thank you, kind sir. I'd love to have some silent era 1 sheets, but regardless of the subject matter, people price 'em like they're made of unobtainium. Lobbies will have to do nicely for now. As far as your stuff goes, maybe you'll run across an original poster for Edison's version of Frankenstein at a yard sale or something. Then you'll have something up your alley and well into the silent era.
Almost not worth bumping this thread for, but here's the most recent ones for me. Another d/s 1 sheet for Ford v Ferrari (different style),
and one more to add to the "don't even so much as THINK about any type of vice, or your life will immediately go to hell in a handbasket" poster collection. It's formatted like a window card, but it's one of those harder to frame, oversize 1 sheets:
So, watch out for those demons of lust and desire, kiddies. Until next time...
FORD VS FERRARI...a different type of SKID ROW (with tire tracks!). What an imaginative combination. (I'm not a car guy, but I do dig the SKID ROW poster more than you know. Yowza!) Congrats!
Thanks for the kind words. I definitely likes me some early (s)exploitation. I sure wish more of those posters were standard 1 sheet size. Bigass frames are tougher to find.
Not a great deal to see here, but a handful of items to post so that I stay current. First off, I recently acquired a very poor condition 1 sheet for this title, and now I own a better condition 3 sheet:
Continuing my inner battle with should I collect posters for Pixar stuff or not, I added one more for another short feature:
And these 3 are all of the Danish/Swedish persuasion:
And the standout for me, mostly because of the difficulty in finding foreign posters for the handful of hot rod/juvenile delinquent films of the 50's:
You are always berating your collection. Bruce is right. I always enjoy your stuff, too. This selection is no different. I especially like SHAKE, RATTLE AND ROCK and DAY & NIGHT. (I'd never heard of that. And there can't be many posters for a modern short subject, can there be?) Good job.
Thank you, sir. With regards to the Pixar short subject posters, you might have a better insight than I, as you've visited Disneyland. Do they sell posters like that as souvenirs? Most folks that sell 'em on eBay list them as cast and crew gift posters, but I’m a tad skeptical about that. Plausible certainly, but sold commercially somehow seems more likely.

I reached out to the aussie poster designer for the Suburban Mayhem, to ask him some questions about some of the posters I'd seen on the web. He told me that they did a run for the cast and crew which were signed, so it definitely happens.
I love your PIXAR collection! You should hold your head high and proud Now the juvenile delinquents...well
I have not been to Disneyland in several years (2018?), but I have NEVER seen movie posters for sale there. Way back in 1999, I visited Disney Studios at Disney World. They had a pop up of sorts, but they were selling off old posters then. I didn't have a lot of cash, so I only scored an ESCAPE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN, a early 70s re-release of ALICE IN WONDERLAND, and a mini- FANTASIA poster. But I don't think it is there any longer. The cast & crew thing sounds plausible.
Thanks for the kind words and the insights, gang. Maybe the posters for the shorts are on the scarce side, and the cast/crew thing is accurate. I'm good with that. Man, speaking of Suburban Mayhem, I'd love to get that (and This Is Roller Derby) up on the wall. Farkin' Aussie poster sizes. One o' these days I'm gonna have to order frames for those from Spotlight.
Oy vey. The rock-o-billy schlemiel is back with the usual load of bupkis. Okay, enough Yiddish appropriation for one post. I urge you at this point to divert your attention to another thread that will certainly be more visually rewarding, such as MAGG's, the better, more superior Matt, Ves, Mr Paisley - anyone! Having delivered my warning disclaimer, here goes. As always, sorry about the quality and/or size of the listing appropriated pics.
I have another copy of this, but this one was el cheapo, and may help to fund something in the future:
Yep, huge. Sorry. Moving on, I have a daybill for this title that Ves was kind enough to gift to me about a hundred years ago, and I also have a ginormous French poster for it as well. Now I have a 1 sheet too:
Eons ago I had this 1 sheet, and sold it somewhere along the way. Now I have purchased it again:
And lastly, a poster that has zero to do with movies, but that's never stopped me in the past from posting drivel like this:
I thought it might go well with a couple posters I already had, shown here in ill-fitting frames:
That's it. Yep, I duped you into clicking on this thread for this selection (insert maniacal but sympathetic laughter here). Things are pretty slow in the poster buyin' biz here at the rock-o-headquarters. Keep an eye out for an equally exciting update to my what's on the walls/framing stuff thread.
Hot dignity! Nice stuff, as always (despite the self-deprecation). You know I'm not a car guy, but I LOVE the HOT CARS poster the best! Zowie! So cooooool! Super scores!!!

That's all for now. Thanks for having a peek.
Here is a handy checklist to help tell eMoviePoster.com apart from all other major auctions!
