Movie your other half...

All this movie talk got me thinking

What are the movies your other half:

REFUSES TO WATCH WITH YOU?

Mine is Rocky Horror...he just won't do it!

HAS TO WATCH EVERY TIME IT'S ON?

Jaws...and then complains about how butchered it is on TV...

Comments

  • Basically anything that doesn't involve flowers, chocolates, long walks, talks about feelings, sad break ups only to be followed by ridiculously illogical happy endings and happily ever afters.
  • Crikey, won't watch Rocky Horror!!  it'a a great excuse to...........well never mind, we both love it.

Yvonne ain't keen on Godzilla films. She struggles with Dance of the Vampires, and is non too keen on over the top Zombie stuff..

I'll watch most stuff being brought up on Z grade Horror, but things like Bridesmaids I think the title is, and films of this elk..

Otherwise we're good on most things..

Anything that involves animals where something sad may happen to the animal (Red Dog, Marley and Me, Bolt), not big on Animations (still hasn't watched Frozen...I mean, what the?!)

    Comedies.

Will watch no matter what and for the one gazillionth time: Braveheart, Gladiator, Brokeback Mountain - I have seen them, I don't need to see them again.
  • Refuses to watch: American Psycho and raunchy comedies (American Pie) Always Watch: Pros - Samurai and Gangster Movies... Cons - Movies I've never heard of ... B Movies (we use to go to the video store and she would always movies I had never heard of) and Lifetime movies.
  • Never watches the same movie again unless its really good and last watched over 5 years ago.. 8-X
  • Getting away from your other half i have a  friend who never watches a movie more than once, never reads a book a second time and never watches commercial television due to commercial breaks. Hopefully your better half isn't in this category.

    Hondo

  • Oh I need to add Gladiator to my 10 times list...

This is nuts!  But you pick up so much more in a film with subsequent watches...is there a reason behind this madness...and don't get me started on re-reading books.

  • I can't get Mrs. 110x75 to watch horror movies... most of the times at least. I'm about to convince her to join me watching "The texas chainsaw massacre" soon.

The only film I can think of that she absolutely leaves when its on TV is Zoolander. I get more fun from watching her laugh than from the movie itself...

    hahaha
  • Zoolander is a guilty pleasure...switch the brain off and just enjoy!
  • My other half will watch most everything i'll watch; westerns, Eastwood, Bogart, Stewart, Hitchcock, Noir, etc, 30's-present...typically will not watch any WWII movies I watch. That's ok...I find myself in my poster room when Grey's Anatomy is on...

    :D

I'm the same, not a fan of horror...Ari got me to watch TCM a few years back, but I had to do it in the day time with all the blinds open.

I'm traumatized by that diner scene to this day!

  • That Ari is offaly corruptive!
