As per Paul’s request in the other thread here is the 40x60. It came yesterday from emovieposter and was packaged perfectly in a double tube. The poster is in better condition then I understood it to be from reading the auction description, so everything is good. I’ve wanted one of these for a while now but every time I managed to find one, the price was always near the cinemasterpieces price point, so I stayed clear. This one is getting framed next week.

    Thanks Matt. The original plan was to just walk the 5 miles to my house and call it exercise for the day, which I've done before. However, there was no way I was going to hold this and walk with it for 80 minutes. On the bus people were just looking at the tube. One lady asked me what was in it, but she didn't know what Barbarella was.

    lol. You could've said it was German Metropolis three sheet, you would of got the same response. hehehe.

    Just a quick question for you. Can you see the extent of the resto done to the left and right borders?

    You can't really see it unless you use a flashlight behind the poster. You do know something is different when you touch the right and left borders. The poster itself is in great shape and thats what I was most surpised about. Ive personally come across the Barbarella 40x60's before, but they were either paperbacked or linen backed. So I'm happy.

    That's just a great poster, fantastic colours, I have no doubt in person far far better in person than on screen.

    Thanks everyone. It does look good in person.  When I first pulled it out of the tube I had to take a second look, because when I’ve dealt with 40x60’s that are this old before. They’ve never been in this kind of shape.  So I was a little taken back. When I took the above photo. There was an Eastwood 40x60 from 71 off to the side and you could just see the difference.

    Congratulations Michael, that will look great on the wall. A good excuse to watch Barbarella more often.

    I know a Michael in Sydney who has been looking for one of those for a long time too... Take it to Studio M and make the Michael there envious!
