(Quote) Well, I guess this raises a few questions about linen backing that I am curious about.
Why do some posters expand or contract during the linen backing process? Is it due to the linen backer not backing the poster correctly… -
Thanks Bruce. I had never considered that posters might stretch after linen backing. You learn something new every day!

Hi Bruce
You have a Halloween daybill up for auction at the moment and the description states ....
"This auction is for the 13" x 30" version (but the poster was slightly "stretched" during linenbacking and now measures 13 1/2" wide)… -
I would hold on to it even though it might not be worth much. Its probably quite rare and condition doesnt look too bad.

I will stick with my original thought that the posters were printed specifically for Hollands Talkies. If you look at the top of each poster it does look like the words "Hollands Talkies" were part of the printing and not added later.

(Quote) The reason I posted Bruce's image was that it confirms the correct measurements. There was no confirmation of measurements on the image you posted.
Despite that I'm not sure how you are tying the Our Little Girl daybill in … -
Bruce sold the other style daybill for Our Little Girl in 2009 and the measurements are correct for a long daybill so it looks as though two styles were printed which is not all that unusual. Not sure if that sheds any light on the origins of the Ho…

-
Before going any further, I would want to know exactly what the dimensions are of the two "posters".

Hope he is OK. Best thing would be to put a notice up on the home page of the website with an explanation of what is happening.

Here is yet another version.

Asphalt Jungle certainly looks like a reissue

(Quote) I think you are correct.

Borders have been trimmed.

An Original Buck Rogers long daybill

Yes that rating is strange. You would think it might have been Not Suitable.

Fantastic!

Magnificent posters,

(Quote) Yes indeed!

(Quote) The interesting thing about this one is that someone must have picked up the error before the printing process and they made a crude attempt to fix it. The same correction appears on all of the daybills I have seen and it has not been…

There is an interesting error on this US printed International lobby card and it seems to be just confined to this set of cards. Another set of un numbered cards was also printed with the correct spelling but no "Litho in USA" at the bottom. I'm sur…
