Was browsing around the web and found Invaluable Auctions. Has anybody bought from them? Reliable? Shipping? Customer service? Any feedback from personal experiences would be helpful. Thanks!

Is this the site that pulls together all the auctions from all over?

If so, they are not an auction place per se, and you would need to check with each individual auction house that runs their online auctions through them for their terms and conditions etc.

I've bid on auctions through them before and you almost always have to register prior  to bidding with the auction house that is running the auction the item you are interested in is with.

Then after you bid, if successful, that auction house contacts you with payment details...it would be like if Heritage used them instead of doing all in house.  You would still have to deal with Heritage direct if you won anything.

My one experience came with a hefty price tag after the auction house insisted that I had to have my win couried to me - postage was not an option!

I've used this several times with no problems. We are talking about the individual Auction houses that stick the big charge on for posting, not Invaluable. so you need to check before bidding, or even phone the house holding the auction...

I wouldn't rule it out especially if it is a piece you really really want.

However, you will need to do your homework with the actual auction house running the auction.
