Can anyone shed any light in this james bond poster??

Hi guys, I’m hoping you can help. I have come across a very unusual James Bond poster, I can’t fond anything about it online, the most unusual part is the actor, it looks like thunderball, but I can’t find any information about it at all!?
Thanks

  • I did a quick Google search with regards to his connection with Bond, and it appears he does a lot of voiceover work. This info was provided by voice123.com:

"Since moving to London, Peter has narrated the James Bond books ‘Casino Royale’, ‘Dr.No’ & ‘Goldfinger’ for Macmillan Publishers".

Maybe these audiobooks were broadcast as part of a radio/satellite program, and this was print advertising for it?
  • Thanks for your reply! I had found similar info regarding him being a voice actor, however nothing relating to any paid for broadcast, yet this poster has prices for tickets, programs and time for showings at the bottom? It’s a mystery as I can’t find any images of similar posters or anything? I wonder what the value could be? It’s definitely a rarity!
  • I read the bottom wrong, I see it’s times, maybe a radio show...
  • I believe this was a commercial poster that was sold in novelty type stores. They had blanks, and you gave them your name and they over-printed your name in the blank area.

Here is a handy checklist to help tell eMoviePoster.com apart from all other major auctions!
HAS lifetime guarantees on every item - IS eMoviePoster.com
HAS unrestored and unenhanced images - IS eMoviePoster.com
HAS 100% honest condition descriptions - IS eMoviePoster.com
HAS auctions where the winner is the higher of two real bidders - IS eMoviePoster.com
HAS "buyers premiums" - NOT eMoviePoster.com
HAS "reserves or starts over $1 - NOT eMoviePoster.com
HAS hidden bidder IDs - NOT eMoviePoster.com
HAS no customer service to speak of - NOT eMoviePoster.com
HAS "nosebleed" shipping charges - NOT eMoviePoster.com
HAS inadequate packaging - NOT eMoviePoster.com

  • This is a generic commercial poster, you get your name added to, they were huge in the late 70's and early 80's, I have a Kung-fu one.. I'll see if I have a pic..  there was several designs to choose from.

  • As Bruce says also...
  • I knew you were the King of Kung Fu, Paul!
  • Sumo these days... :/
  • You still kick ass ;)
