  • Reading where the city of Houston alone had 900 water rescues performed! Stay in till it passes!

Actually, it does have a grill guard!!!!  For the squirrels...

  • That one is pre-lifted.....

Sweet ride, Charlie! Those damn gophers better watch out as well!  ;)
  • For squirrels? We call em Roo Bars around these har parts.
  • Seen many pic's of the damage the storm system caused, how are the flood levels now Charlie?
  • Fine where I am.  We were able to play golf the last two days...  The course runs through the same neighborhood where 100 or so of my neighbors got flooded.  Actually played with three guys that were flooded.  One had flood insurance and one didn't... There are still neighborhoods near the resivoir that are flooded.
  • Hey Charlie, you getting any flooding right now? ----saw your neck of the woods is getting some heavy rains again!
  • Lorra lorra rain
  • Cool! That's impressive.
  • Thought you'd like it - I thought it was Photoshop, seems it was not.
  • Amazing cloud formations!

A little less spectacular...here in AZ from my backyard...

  • This is what summer looks like in Melbourne, bloody cold, rain, hail and snow in them thar hills.

Winter is definitely going to suck...

Mind you, a former neighbour of mine in Sydney had big-ass hail come down on the week-end, being ever resourceful he put it to good use...

  • Ahhh...nice David. We had 36 hours of nice rain, but no hail. Very nice use of frozen nature... :) ...

  • And that brick work on the house is beautiful!
  • I love Melbourne weather. Could do with a few more storm days though.

  • Wild weather in Sydney coming up
  • The Bureau's forecasting 100% chance of rain. They hardly ever forecast that percentage.

With 20 to 45mm of rain.

We get 100% precipitation forecast all the time.  I forget it's based on % of area that will receive rain right?
  • Definition provided by our Bureau of Meterology

The percentage shows the likelihood of rainfall in that location during the period, which may be a full day or three hours. For example, if the chance of rain for Mildura is 30%, there is about a one in three chance of getting wet. A 30% chance of rainfall also means a 70% chance of not receiving any rainfall at all.

  • Just checked the weather in Melbourne. Saw cloudy & mid 50's, nice. Here in the full sun, in Arizona we'll double that getting above 110! Yesterday was 116-118!  :o
  • We had a tropical storm come through...  It was nice since the temps will drop for a few days and we will get some much needed rain.

...and that was Winter Solstice over and done with, now begins the run down to Spring. Been a very mild winter thus far, has it been cooler than normal north of the border up there?

I saw it heading towards Louisiana and the Houston area. As long as no serious flooding, rains are nice to lower temps....
  • Never have I heard our conservative Bureau of Meteorology say that we may get over 300mm in parts of Victoria and New South Wales. The weather forums have talking this up for days now. Only now does the Bureau get on board.
