Not Joi Lansing. I'd think if I didn't know it looks a little like Mamie Van Doren.--- but it isn't her.

  • I'm starting to realise how hard this quiz is. The artwork is poor and it doesn't resemble the actors in the majority of cases. I will leave it for a while then I will start giving clues.

For God's sake, don't let Rich hear you say that or we'll never hear the end of it.

    4th - Doris Day
    Last - Rock Hudson
  • 4th and 7th woman remind me of Constance Bennett, more so the 7th.
  • Clue one -- one is an Oscar winner.

Not Doris Day and the guess of Rock Hudson is what I would have thought if I hadn't known the answer which I am sorry to say is incorrect.

Correct it is Tony Curtis ( looking a little like Rock Hudson ) from the Australian image of  daybill  of The Eyes Of Father Tomasino ( The Midnight Story  in USA )

  • 7th-Eva Marie Saint?

    Sorry not her.

  • Three out of nine correct so far. Somebody should have said '' Life isn't meant to be easy as far as daybills ( and other Australian posters ) are concerned"  Keep the suggestions coming for I have some amazing images I wish to post on this thread but we need to tidy this one up first. You won't believe some of the likenesses drawn of top Hollywood actors awaiting you.

A second clue -  I look more like myself than the other one.

  • Is the 5th Charles McGraw-Narrow Margin?
  • Sorry not Charles McGraw from The Narrow Margin but the following image reminds me of Marie Windsor also from The Narrow Margin.

  • Clue Three - Will always be remembered for a sci-fi film of the 1950's. Image not from the film.

Clue Four - There were three Oscar nominated actresses when we started the quiz but with Dorothy Malone identified there are two left.
