Looks like an early 40s Re-issue. Just a guess though.. Although the blank area at the top would suggest a pre 1940 poster
  • Printed by Hacket
  • Great poster, is it yours?
Hackett printed the original daybill so my guess would be original release 1940.
  • One of the original US title lobby cards has similar writing - no artwork at all. Hondo might have more information about Hackett printers.

Hackett Offset Printing Co. appeared to have ceased printing film posters around 1941.

Yes I have seen that one too John (the Jumbo card and also the Window Card?), there were some Teaser type posters out at the time and the re-release posters used the 'everybody wants to see' bi-line.

I thought the fact it didn't say re-release but that's clutching at straws as we know that wasn't always the case.

    I have no idea.

I was going to throw it in the bin...
  • Just send it up to me. I'll look after it!

  • Meh, it's rubbish, not worth the cost of postage John.

The blank section was printed on the top of long daybills but this is the first time as far as I remember having seen a blank section on top of an Australian one sheet.

Good chance it might be, David. The blank area at top would suggest first release.
