Aussie One Sheet or International Release

In the big poster sort out, I've come across a few titles for Australian films...nothing movies from the 80s.

There is nothing on the poster to say it was for use in Australia (ie no rating information).

So would you call these International release one sheets?

Any clues or pointers on what I can look at to narrow it down...

  • Sounds good to me.  Similar to the US films international film posters w/o ratings...  How about finding the Australian version with the rating info.  If you have two, one can't be the other.
  • Can we have one example in the form of a large image?

Here are a couple.  My guess is Frauds is aussie, but why not rating...

    Frauds (1993)

But this one I have seen called Australian and US (though why if it were Australian they would put "From Australia" in the tagline I have no idea - unless the one poster was used for everywhere...):

Around the World in Eighty Ways (1988)

  • Around the World In 80 Ways was released in Australia according to IMDB by Hoyts Australia. The poster above  has Alive Films logo on it which was the U.S. distributor along with the Nelson Entertainment Logo which is another overseas film company.

Frauds has International distribution through J. & M. Entertainment on the poster. I am not aware who released the film in Australia.

I am not stating as to the status of the two posters release usage but only providing information.

There is a logo on the bottom of Frauds in the bottom left hand corner which I cannot read. Would you mind having a look and letting me know what in on the logo or even better still posting a large image of the logo as it may possibly help.

  •                                                                                                                                                                                        The U.S. release poster with the U.S. distributor Live Entertainment name appearing on it.
  • Post edited - added the name of the posters (please remember!)
  • Thanks Lawrence, will relook at this in a day or so when I have more time...

David, sorry, but old habits die hard!

  • Well there you go...I should have taken a closer look.

Logo on the FRAUDS in the bottom left corner says New South Wales Film and Television Office.  So I guess it is an AUS OS after all!
