Drama, Suspense, Mystery & Thriller Quiz.

I have some great images that don't fit into my Film Noir, Crime & Gangster Quiz so I have started this new category to cater for them as other sources have labelled them as being drama, suspense, mystery & thriller or in some cases a combination.

The daybill and similar Australian one sheet are far superior to the retitled U.S.posters artwork.
  • Not the one I thought it was, so no idea!
  •                                                                                                                                                                                          Image # 2. Name the  title.

  •                                                                                                                                                                                                         Image # 3. Name the film title.
  • 3 - The Cat Creeps
  • 3 - The Cat Creeps

Yes The Cat Creeps from 1946.
  • 2 - A Woman's Vengence - stumbled upon the daybill while looking for the noir titles.
  • A Woman's Vengeance from 1948 is correct. The great thing about looking for something in particular  is often it results in the finding of other things of importance.
  •                                                                                                                                                                                 Image # 4. Name the film title.
  • In image number one the setting is the big clue.
  •                                                                                                                                                                                            Image  # 5. Name the film title.

  • That looks like Lady in the Car with Glasses and a Gun

It is indeed The Lady In The Car With Glasses And A Gun from 1970.

  •                                                                                                                                                                                  Image # 6. Name the film title.

    An Oscar winner to boot.
  • For image # 6  I can picture you all jockeying for positions to win this one.
  • Further clues.

    # 1. Assassin

    # 4. Warner Brothers

    # 6. D. F. plus top of image

  •                                                                                       Image # 1 is Venetian Bird ( aka The Assassin in the U.S.A. ) from 1952. As the image wasn't identified I have decided to give the answer and post the daybill image it was taken from which is a nice poster and apparently rare.
  • I have never seen that one before!

    Image # 4. The ....... Man, Warner Brothers, 1940s & 36 Hours.

Image # 6.  Early role for a prominent  James Bond regular.

Will reveal the results soon if not answered shortly.

  • O.K. Number 4 is The Gorilla Man a Warner Brothers film from 1943. It is a misleading title and has shades of the 1965  36 Hours in  the plot area.

Dead Cert is a 1974 film adapted from the first published novel written by Dick Francis which was directed by Tony Richardson and features a young Judi Dench.

  •                                                                                                                                                                                          Image # 7. Name the film title.
  • Argh...I just saw this daybill today!  I forget the name...a Richardson?
  • Found it...The Search for Bridey Murphy!
