The Family Way Changes For New Zealand
The Family Way ( 1966 ) has an interesting poster history. The film was released in the U.K. by British Lion Films but apparently in most of the remaining countries in the world including the U.S.A. and Australia by Warner Brothers. One exception was in New Zealand where Lion Internationl Films released it. As New Zealand mostly used Australian printed daybills from the same distributor without the Australian censorship details printed on them Lion International had two options with this film in to print a poster solely for New Zealand or obtain permission to modify the Warner Brothers Australian daybill and this is what apparently happened. The New Zealand version has the WB logo and Warner Bros. presents information removed with the in Technicolor line altered for some strange reason to just read Colour and finally the Australian censorship rating changed to the New Zeand R rating. I was intending to include images of the two daybills but I am unable to complete this as the drop box doesn't appear. I will send this off and hopefully I will be able to send the two images off soon.

Maybe there was just a glitch in making the first post.
