  • Out of interest what are the printer details?

Wild incorrect guess from me 1950s

  • Hard to make out but I am sure the printers details read - ''This poster Is Produced By The Southern Studios  . Printed By F. Cunninghame Pty.Ltd. Sydney''. The re-release of the film that this daybill was printed for I am sure it is circa 1949.
  • Did you get my email Craig?
  • No didn't receive email John.

Thanks Hondo , must of been the year for re- release's as King Kong was re-released that year

  • Craig I sent the email to you last night. Hotmail spam blocker strikes again! The poster is definitely a 40s re release. It was being offered around by a well known collector fairly recently.
  • Thanks John , very nice poster , just not sure what it's worth

  • A collector purchased one recently for 300.00
  • Thanks John
  • Thanks Hondo , must of been the year for re- release's as King Kong was re-released that year

Glad to assist Craig but I still firmly believe the re-release in Australia for King Kong was 1952 and not 1949 as often credited as being the case.
  • I would think the original would be a long daybill
