  Planned early 1930's Green Mansions film that didn't eventuate.  Green Mansion film that was made and released in 1959.   

I have recently pondered if the 1930's version had been made would it have been better than the tedious 1959 version ?

     Well Delores del Rio was heading in this direction in this pre-code film Bird Of Paradise from 1932.

     Talking of sexy we can't leave out Joel McCrea's appearance in Bird Of Paradise then. Was this planned for Green Mansions as well I wonder ?
