Yes David, I have had it cleaned up. That photo is a couple of years old, and the remnant rating tag is now gone. Looks very good, but I don't have a photo.
Yes lovely. Looks like it got mounted to linen without wash to clean soiling? Or was really soiled and now only little soiled? But in any case a gem and nice to see it natural rather than airbrushed all over.
It could go for anything really. Given the low Aust dollar, collectors from Australia will be a little conservative in bidding one would think. In saying that I know of quite a few collectors who are after that Daybill, so who knows. If international collectors come to the table, then it can certainly go very high..
I just checked out the other two that sold on hertitage and the winning bid source was Live Floor so am assuming international collectors.
And yes reg hard to know what it sells for....the insert sold for 190k then 90k..
And this is what my mind boggles with....a couple of these sell on heritage and on EMP...then a couple surface on the internet...so few around....yet a Dr no Bill from the 60s you never see so why rarer when Casablanca is much older movie ????
There's a fair few copies around of the Dr no. Daybill, you would be very surprised. No one wants to sell though. The Casablanca daybill is def much rarer in my opinion.

That one currently on ha.com is mine. A photo of it in its pre-backing condition was posted a little earlier in this thread.

Well in that case best of luck in the eventual outcome. I have a feeling it just might set a record for an Aussie daybill on the title
Best of luck with the selling. It is the only Casa item there so far which might help your chances for an excellent return.
BtW...Can anyone see the pic -pre restoration? I'd love to see it too mm.
I recall one being on sale on eBay a month or so again for 12k? No bites?
I think that one sold off eBay. The seller ended the listing early. Must of got a decent offer
And I was thinking it must have sold somewhere between 10 K to 12 K, comparing that to the one that sold on heritage in 2008 for the 3.5K, thinking, wow that's an amazing price to pay. Then to see it go at heritage for 21.5K.
Kick myself for not making an offer on that ebay one.
