Hello All, Newby here, Name Neil Oh the Horror my specialty!

Morning,

So the problem is with the Thread that I started yesterday that I couldn't get the Close Your File box drop down, just the Copy Paste to your URL. Anyway, I got this thread to work. This thread seems to work now:

The "I passed for White" was on E-bay and was so ludicrous of a Movie title that I couldn't resist it, and then after doing some research, had to have it, it seems the director had a pretty good career in the 40's making "Lassie Come Home" 1943 and "Courage Of Lassie" 1946, and . Then in the 50's he made the Blockbuster "Forbidden Planet" 1956, and a few minor movies, and then in 1960 he makes "I Passed For White". And then according to what I can find, he never works again Ever, Ever, dies in 1964. Whatever Hollywood History story of why he made this Movie is lost, causing this inferred Career Suicide with no real explanation.

Here are a few of my favs!

Thanks

YeeHah!

Neil

  • Welcome aboard...and super nice collection. You really have some good ones there. I'm glad to see them framed and on the walls (My walls are covered with 'em, too).

I don't believe I've seen I PASSED FOR WHITE before. Nice. I recently scored a similarly titled poster for I CROSSED THE COLOR LINE, which turned out to be an alternate title for THE BLACK KLANSMAN.

Bravo on your collection. Do you have others...or do you have your eye out for more? Welcome to the forum...

    CHEERS!

Yes I have about 25-30 others, but only so much wall space! I do have Two White Whales. I want a 1962 Candace Hilligoss "Carnival Of Souls". There are 5-6 available on the net, but asking price's are ridiculous, what with 3 of them been on virtual shelves for at least 5+ years. The second being 1987 "Sorority Babes In The Bowl-O-Rama". I know the Poster exists, seen it twice on Fee-Bay, but didn't pull the ticket at the time and missed out! My Bad!

    YeeHah!

  • Here's a couple of More and the Cover of one of my White Whales on the DVD!

  • Awe!  ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES. Love it. I have one in my office. I used to have it in my kitchen. (I have posters EVERYWHERE!) I've seen the poster for SORORITY BABES IN THE SLIMEBALL BOWL-A-RAMA before. They DO exist. Good luck with that. They are pricey but not nearly as pricey as CARNIVAL: OF SOULS (which I'd also love to have).

Again, welcome to the forum and thanks for sharing your stuff. (You can share your unframed stuff, too ya know....)

    CHEERS!
  • Afternoon,

I'll post some more of my stuff:

  • Great stuff, Neil! Well done!
  • Hmm. Never realized the I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE remake played theatrically. I'll have to keep my eye out for that... Thanks for sharing.

All three will surely re-surface in my auctions before too long. The only question will be if "the price is right"!
