Is C473 I Accuse (or some other movie based on the Dreyfuss case)?
Correct with your first answer. I Accuse! from 1958.
Based on the real life happening known as ''The Dreyfus Affair''. Jose Ferrer starred as Captain Dreyfus, and he also directed the film. An excellent film that was a failure at the box office when first released and unfortunately little remembered today.
C475 - I was going to say Miracle on 34th Street, but then realised it's Mr Smith Goes to Washington (1939). I know the other one but will leave it to someone else.
C475 - I was going to say Miracle on 34th Street, but then realised it's Mr Smith Goes to Washington (1939).
Correct. James Stewart and Claude Rains appear in the below featured memorable scene from the great classic Frank Capra film Mr. Smith Goes To Washington. \
I know the other one but will leave it to someone else.
Ditto
I knew that C476 would surely be recognised. Hoping someone will provide the answer shortly. so I can then move on in presenting part one of my jumbo connected themed entries.
My immediate thought for C476 was Casablanca, but I don't recognize the pictured people.

However, I did stumble across c479 while looking for something else. Unconquered (1947). A very bad CB DeMille effort that I am betting nobody has seen.

Correct answer for C477 received from both Bruce and Jay. River Of No Return from 1954. Three people are seen in the below image.
Correct answer from Jay also for C479 in it being Unconquered. from 1947. Mixed reviews, but one of the main box office attractions when originally released.
In the image below that I had originally posted Gary Cooper and Paulette Goddards's characters are seen clinging onto an overhanging branch.

Yes C478 is Northwest Passage from 1940. The difficult and exhausting water crossing was all done by the actors themselves. No stunt doubles were used at all.
The film is also known as Northwest Passage (Book One Roger's Rangers). An intended part two was never made.
I read both Northwest Passage and the Bounty trilogy in high school (us nerds who were terrible at sports and girlfriendless had plenty of time for reading).
I thought Northwest Passage was a great book, and the author wrote only historical fiction (Sinclair Lewis did this with his second to last book, The God-Seeker). It is a neat trick. You take a completely fictional person and use historically accurate settings and events, so the reader learns a LOT about that place and time, while enjoying the novel. Recently Taylor Sheridan has done the same multiple times, as does Shogun, and I highly recommend them all.
Northwest Passage was as Lawrence states intended to be followed by a second part, and the movie covers only the first half of the novel.MGM told the author they would film the second half as a separate movie, so they could recoup the large production costs from filming on location. When the film did poorly, they pulled the plug on the sequel, and the author thought that was their plan all along, to give it a "happy ending", which he did not want.
As Lawrence correctly states, filming it was indeed grueling for the cast, and when it did not perform well at the box office, and no one involved wanted to go through that again, they cancelled the second part, so maybe MGM HAD intended to film it after all. .
I will look to pick it up and re-read it, and see if it plays half as well to an old man as it did to a teen boy!

Interesting information Bruce. Actually the film performed very well at the box office. It was the high production problems and costs that would have definitely decided the fate of a second film.
As you are thinking of re-reading the book, I am thinking that a revisiting of film would also be a plan.
Is C484 Deluge (1933)? I have the bluRay but haven't watched it yet, I was expecting it to show up in one of these images. Is it this one?
Firstly yes C484 in Deluge. Long thought to be a lost apocalyptic science fiction film. The story has a massive earthquake strike the U.S.A. that causes massive title waves.
Curious to know when to get to see it what your thoughts are about it.
C483 is from one of my favourite films and I recognised it straight away, I'll let someone else have a go before I answer.
Apart from you, and me as well, I know that it is a favourite film also by another member of the forum as well. Good to know I will get an answer from someone or another.

And far from being a classic the following film certainly contains some great scenes in it including the one below.
