NZ Daybill or Australian Daybill

What do you call daybill that was printed in Australia, has no Australian censor stamp on it but DOES have a NZ censor stamp on it (Y, GY etc)?

Comments

  • There are NZ daybills printed specifically for the NZ theatres but most of them from memory are re releases.   I think this is one.

  • What about NO stamp?

What about these? Red marker on and off ratings. Stamp and no stamp. No rating and a stamp.

  • Rating with no writing and no stamp.

  • I've seen quite a few NZ posters, which are generally small and very plain with no printer's details. They have their own ratings printed on rather than added by stamp or decal.
This one is an exception with two colours and in full daybill size. I don't know how you date them.
I seem to recognise that vacant triangle there, Matt ...  ;)

    That's awesome!
  • I had a couple of those. They are only A3ish.
  • These were printed when supplies of the original daybill ran out.  Sometimes they photocopied press book art work.  Columbia Warner did this a lot in New Zealand.  There were several styles of Dirty Harry reissue posters, also Bonnie & Clyde, Bullitt, Deliverance, Clockwork Orange.  These posters often turn up for sale as "originals" which they are not.  They are from the 70s and early 80s.
  • Just noticed Brent, you voted Australian Daybill. :-?
