  • Very nice Sven! Great scene's on the Peter Pan.
  • A tourist in Vienna is going through a graveyard and all of a sudden he hears music. Could it be Andre Rieu, he thinks to himself? He looks around but no one can be seen, so he starts searching for the source. He finally locates the origin and finds it is coming from a grave with a headstone that reads: "Ludwig van Beethoven, 1770- 1827." Then he realises that the music is Beethoven's Ninth Symphony and it is being played backward!

Puzzled, he leaves the graveyard and persuades a friend to return with him.

By the time they arrive back at the grave, the music has changed. This time it is the Seventh Symphony, but like the previous piece, it is being played backwards. Curious, the men agree to consult a music scholar. When they return with the expert, the Fifth Symphony is playing, again backwards. The expert notices that the symphonies are being played in the reverse order in which they were composed, the 9th, then the 7th, then the 5th.

By the next day the word has spread, and a crowd has gathered around the grave. They are all listening to the Second Symphony being played backward. Just then the graveyard's caretaker ambles up to the group. Someone in the group asks him if he has an explanation for the music.

"I would have thought it was obvious," the caretaker says: "He's decomposing."

No good, hope you are feeling better and hopefully that information is enough for members to post supportive messages and of course empathetic images. ;P
  • They should... I could have spent that money on posters!
  • Oh sorry, forgot about USA and your free medical for citizens...

ERs are the worst here in the states...  I bet you my 3 hour stay will cost me over a grand.  Go to regular physician on a week day less than $100.  Timing is everything in health care here.

Hope you get well soon Charlie! Do you have to stay overnight? That'll certainly run up your tab, that and tests...take care!

    That's just insane.
Last time I was on ER -for a goddamn gallstone- I was in there for 2 days. It was a private hospital. Total cost was no more than U$S 50...
  • Crikey....I hope you feel better soon.
  • Yikes, I hope your wallet feels better soon...
  • Oh no...sorry to hear you were unwell, good to hear nothing serious.  And even sorrier to hear about $...that is madness.

  • How did todd feiertag come to own so many rare horror posters? Just lots of time and money? Lucky breaks? He has just listed a werewolf of london half sheet
  • Hey Sven,

I can't remember where it is now, but if you search on either NSFGE or MPF (if it is still there - I don't think it was on APF) I vaguely recall this being discussed already.

I am terrible at doing the searches and can never find anything!  If Ari was about, he could probably remember.

It's out there, I just can't remember where!

  • Today's favorite Excel formulae:

    =CONCATENATE(A1," ",B1)
    =LEFT(C2,FIND(" ",C2,1)+1001)
    =LOWER(SUBSTITUTE(F2," ","-"))

  • Good to know David when your birthday rolls around! ;)
  • Concatenate - what a word!
  • from Late Latin concatenatus, past participle of concatenare "to link together"

    (I looked it up)
