What I would most like for my collection is....

So as a way to get to know you all a bit better, I thought I would ask y'all a few questions.

The poster you covet, or would most like for your collection (at the moment anyway) is.....

Mine is UK paper for The Ladykillers, would love a quad.  Love the film and would just love a country of origin piece for it.

Over to you...

  • All the Disney Daybills I don't have...

New York - Daybill, saw one recently, can't remember where...

Tradita (Night of Love) - 1954. Italian 4 Sheet

The final piece for my Grace/Hitchcock Tri-fecta - Rear Window OS. A War of the Worlds OS. If I could trade my sixer TCAT for the quad that would be ok too...
  • I ain't telling because I don't trust any of you (especially Matias!) [-(

One day I would like to get one of these (maybe if I allow myself to dream really hard it might even be an ultra rare rolled version):

If that dream pursuit fails to come to fruition then I would probably settle for one of these:

  • Good pieces everyone (specially the Top Gun...)

I am willing to kill humans for these:

    - A brazilian poster for "Strange World" (don't even know how it looks, but there has to be one, as the film was shown there).

    - The ultra rare (truly) argentinean style B for native son. Walter Films had it for sale, at $1000 a few years back. Some damn museum purchased it.

    image

    - the arg one sheet for "the unknown". Only known copy was Benito's, but he does not have it anymore.

  • That Native Son is quite striking!

Don't worry Matias, after the apocalypse hits (which we will survive unscathed due to the safety of the BUNKER) - all posters, museum or otherwise, will be ripe for the picking!

  • Oh, pillage paradise!!
You better get a good vehicle to load all those egyptian treasures...
  • Good choices all..

I don't mind saying what is top of my list as I'll never be able to afford them. And as there are NO known copies of the first release Universal Monster films on any UK format, it will be....
58 Dracula Quad, Night of the Demon Quad, Curse of Frankenstein Quad.

Like Ves I'd like a First release Ladykillers Quad, I do have what I think maybe an Irish first release, and the UK 1Sht, but the Quad is the one.
  • Night of the Demon quad is fantastic
  • Top of my list Chris.........I know one lucky member who has one........My eyes are on Germany.. ;)
  • I dont quite have a focus yet. Casablanca daybill i guess but ouchhh the price. Would be nice to have a standout piece from horror or sci fi. Chris' collection has also given me some great ideas on film noir
  • What do you collect Sven?

    OOPSY!  >:D<
  • What do you collect Sven?

Main soft spot has been James Stewart paper, of all formats and country and some bond. Then many ad-hoc (limited edition prints, some modern - but that's done and dusted)

Renewed focus on daybills - noir (e.g. High Tide, T-Men, Johhny O'Clock, Web), a stand out sci fi / horror would be great!

But something always comes up that breaks my want list! Maybe this rocket man becomes my stand out sci fi!

  • Man now that's a psychotic Batman - Bale has nothing on West on that poster!

OH GREAT!  More competition...well at least for Chris anyway :)
  • Being a big fan of James Stewart, I'd love to add some of his Hitchcock's & early 30s one sheets. Vertigo would be first up... photo D1C877E7-74E5-4BCA-94B0-688133723902_zpszmxdhiv6.jpg Followed by some of his other known, not so known titles that I really like. photo 367B36E5-A52D-45C6-8948-E3928A1DF13B_zpshvu6yev6.jpg photo 85236E9D-FA4C-430B-A68D-79AE074BCFA7_zpsmwknf0qq.jpg photo EA776D2F-1C41-4016-91B0-31AC7C29BE7A_zpsyslicmty.jpg Love 30s William Powell too...Kennel Murder Case... ;)

Thankfully I've got those titles already because that's the last thing I need #:-S
