Love the Risky Business all frame up!
Lawrence the “original” version you are referencing is actually the original poster artwork/painting. It is not an unrestored poster and is much much smaller than a 3 sheetTeaming up with Bruce to completely corner the market - they’re just hashing out what to do about a buyer’s premium
New Zealand definitely used US half sheets in the 1930sThat looks to be the caseSeeing the Blade Runners together is a treat!
It's OK the text description I am seeing now is almost as great
It's circumstantial but:1) The artwork of the Giant Claw (Turkey) does not fit with the style of any other Aussie poster from the period2) If you go to that website and hover over the imag…Fair enough - not created for an official DVD but I believe it is "fan art".In fact I believe it was created for a magazine called "Space Monsters" by an artist named Ash Loydon:I very much doubt that’s a real OS. Looks like something created for DVD cover. If you search google you can see othersWow you guys had GREAT years with these pickups!
Someone shared this on Facebook a while back (confirming both styles were printed):Not mine (but sure wish it was!)
Very effectiveNice Charlie!Unfortunately no I don’t Okie. And I agree common sense would lead one to think would be the same poster but evidently not the case!Thought we already had a thread about uncut daybill sheets but cannot locate it. Maybe it was on NSFGE way back in the day...Anyways these are super duper cool when they pop up:Gets pics not seen before. Thanks for sharing! And a three sheet in the back! Very cool(Quote) Is that true Mark? It’s always been described as a horizontal daybill (as Lawrence noted). Have you seen the campaign book?
Would be good to know for certain 🕵️♂️Been after this one since I first started collecting and it finally surfaced again. To me it IS noir
Very nice Matt! Looks to be in fantastic condition too☹️
This needs to happen…maybe there are multiple copies (there seemed to be a few like that in the auction lots). Could be another chance with that auction house down the road 🤞Really hoping it will somehow get to its “rightful place” 🤞
