101 year old poster we were able to restore.

I think linen backing is ones own choice, and collectors have as many opinions why and why not to linen backing.

An example of a one sheet soaking in the bath, between 2 sheets of Mylar.

lol, the majority of posters I am restoring are for Morris Everett Jr. the largest collector in the USA. With my own collection of restored posters I have them framed. The majority of posters I restore for people are then framed.

This poster was rotting away, restoring brought it back to life… -
My opinion, linen backing has a purpose. I agree PosterFx is not the answer. There are many restoration services available, if getting a high price is there model, but like any business, you have to ask should it be. How many posters do you have to …

I have posted my 24 sheet here from the movie The Alamo. Heritage has called this the holy grail of 24 sheets.
-
Here is a 24 sheet I own this is a beautiful poster.

I had quit posting because I felt no one was looking. It is good to see new people getting involved. I will start posting again and add any tweaking we may have done to restoration process.
