Hi there! Welcome to another posting of new-to-me poster in the SHOCK-O-RAMA POSTER SHOW! There is some fun stuff here, but nothing all that exciting...except I am pretty wild/pumped about the last title in the pile.YOWZA! I am super thrilled to have that.
I hope you are well---and thank you for stopping by.
Now let's look at the posters:
THE SENTINEL:
This movie should have been better than it was. Interesting idea---lousy execution. (Whatever happened to???) Cristina Raines stars in this quasi-ROSEMARY"S BABY (without the baby) knock-off. This poster isn't that interesting. It was a bonus poster for another poster I bought. I already have at least one of these already.
SEXY SUSAN SINS AGAIN:
I had NO IDEA what this was when I bought it...but it was cheap, so I decided to go for it. Apparently it is a German historical sex comedy about a plot to stop an assassination attempt on Napoleon. The only name actor (as far as anyone in the US would be aware of anyway) is JEFFREY HUNTER, who was the original choice to play the Captain in the pilot for the original "STAR TREK"series. Whatever...
FREDDY'S DEAD: THE FINAL NIGHTMARE (Advance):
I probably already have this--I know I have the regular one sheet--but was not sure about this advance. Hmm. So I got it. This sixth was NOT the end of the series (Duh!)---and it was kind anti-climactic anyway. The 3-D finale was a great gimmick I would have rushed out to see---had I not already planned on seeing this (I'd seen all of the ELM STREET flicks in the theater to that point). The finale was STUPID (despite the 3D). Oh well. Freddy is an amazing character---and trying to explain why he is the way he is was not necessarily a good idea. The following entry, "Wes Craven's New Nightmare", would be the last in the series....and that was followed by a lackluster remake of the original (the only one I didn't bother seeing in the theaters).
WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES (Style C):
I have ALL of the posters for the PLANET OF THE APES films (from the original to present day), even though some of the movies (like this one) just didn't do it for me. (Yawn). I already have a WAR poster---but it is a close up of the lead ape on horseback (at the very center of this larger scale poster). I may have this poster as well (probably do), but wasn't sure. The tagline reads "witness the end"--is this the last one? We shall see.
SISTERS:
Another poster I already have a previous copy (or two) of. Pre-SUPERMAN Margot Kidder and Jennifer ("Soap" and producer on "American Horror Story") Salt star as grown separated siamese twins. It sounds like a cool flick--but alas I have never seen it (yet). Written and directed by Brian DePalma!
SLAVEGIRLS FROM BEYOND INFINITY:
I think I already have a copy of this, but am not sure. I remember actually seeing this with something called CREEPAZOIDS many years ago (late 1980s). The movies were NOT memorable at all--but the experience was. The theater where this was shown was downtown and had, just a few days/weeks earlier, been a Pussycat Theater showing porn! Ha! This new theater (I think it was called The Lyric Theater?) apparently did ZERO renovations, as the place screamed porn theater when I was inside. Red velvety curtains along the walls, red seats, red-painted walls in the lobby. Even the outside marquees still had the Pussycat Theater logo on them. It was weird being in a "porn theater" watching "regular" movies. After seeing the flicks, I kept my eye out for other obscure stuff to play there I'd like to see (SLAVEGIRLS and CREEPAZOIDS played nowhere else in town). Alas, almost as soon as it opened, the Lyric closed. I don't think it was even open a month. I never got back to it and it has been shuttered ever since. The movies may have been forgettable, but the poster art on this one is cheesy cool.
THE SEX MACHINE:
I have one of these somewhere. The poster is the best thing about this flick, which used to air on Cinemax back in the day. It is some lame European sex comedy that isn't very sexy or funny. Whatever. I do remember when it played in my town though, back in the 70s (?). The ads in the newspaper called it "The Love Machine" (NOT to be confused with the Jacqueline Susann movie/book of the same name).
WILD, WILD PLANET:
I've never seen the flick, but have long admired the poster. Now it is MINE, baby! Whoo hoo!
HOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD:
Do I have this already? I know I have the poster for VAN NUYS BLVD, but this one? Hmm. Filmed in Superama 185...whatever that might have been. With a great exploitation cast including Candice Rialson, Mary Woronov, Paul Bartel, Dick Miller and "Godzilla"! Ha! Cool poster, too.
KISS OF THE VAMPIRE:
Pucker up...here is the great Hammer classic, KISS OF THE VAMPIRE. You have to love this cool poster. I do. I have long wanted one of these as well...and now it is mine. Whoo hoo! Fantastic artwork!
That is all for now. I hope you will call again soon. THANK YOU for your visit.
Slave Girls From Beyond Infinity is a little slice of awesome with regards to a title, but Kiss Of The Vampire?? Spooktacular poster!! Congratulations!!
Hi there! Welcome back to the SHOCK-O-RAMA POSTER SHOW! And happy (almost) HALLOWEEN! Any big plans for the spooky night? I don't know what I'll be doing, but I'll be doing it out of town. Yes, I'm running away for the holiday. So---here is my Halloween offering for this year. Not all of the posters are horror--and not all of them are even good--but there are a few gems in here (in my opinion). Take a gander...if you DARE!
But first...
rockabilly777: Thank you---I agree SLAVE GIRLS is a great title. And I really am THRILLED to have the KISS OF THE VAMPIRE poster as well. Thanks for your visit...and for leaving the note.
And now, poster time...
NIGHTMARES:
This was a lot poster. I have several copies and didn't need another---but... I saw this movie in the theaters. It is an anthology movie. It seems like there were four (?) segments, but I only remember two of them---something about a video game and one about a woman going to the store alone with a serial killer on the loose. (The woman was so dumb---she "deserved to be killed"---but I don't recall her fate in the film. People were literally SCREAMING at her from the audience because she was so stupid. HA!) It's a crappy film with a real made-for-TV feel to it. Utterly forgettable---no wonder the poster is often included this poster as a freebie or bonus.
STAR WARS III (Advance):
Another STAR WARS something I got cheap for selling down the road. I'm so NOT ba STAR WARS fan, i don't even know the subtitle for this flick and I'm not going to bother looking it up. Ha!
THE HOUSE WITH A CLOCK IN ITS WALLS:
I have not seen this, but even though it appears to be a kiddie film, it looks kind of cool. I got the advance a while back. This release poster was colorful and cheap. Why not?
DIARY OF THE DEAD (British Quad):
I didn't really need this British quad for DIARY OF THE DEAD. The movie was just so-so (and I DID get to see this in the theaters). However, it is a Romero zombie flick and it is different than the US one sheet. Why not?
HELL FEST (Advance):
I just saw this the other day. Even though it did nothing at the box office (my friend and I were the ONLY ones in the theater during a matinee), I still thought it was pretty good and I could see something like this happening in real life. Scary! I decided to pick up this poster now (while it's cheap) as I have a feeling this movie may catch on down the road...
HELL FEST:
The advance poster was nice, but I really dig this final version of the poster. There are lots of great elements from the film here. It was great fun to see TONY "Candyman" TODD in a cameo part as well (He's the guy on the left in the top hat). Not a great film, but interesting. It was kind of like a throw back 80s slasher, set today and inside of a big Halloween multiple maze attraction (like Universal's HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS or KNOTTS SCARY FARM---but off in the woods somewhere).
ARMY OF DARKNESS:
Yes, another copy of EVIL DEAD 3. The EVIL DEAD films were fun---as was the recent TV series (ASH VS THE EVIL DEAD), which continues the story that was left off in ARMY OF DARKNESS (Part 3). It's interesting that after three movies, the story received three seasons on the air. The remake of the first film a few years back was thankfully ignored.
S.O.S. TITANIC (Italian 2F):
I think I must have completely missed this telling of the unfortunate Titanic saga, This one apparently started life as a 1979 TV movie here in the states. International audiences had to pay to see it in theaters, though. I'm sure it was very TV movie-esque and cheap looking. Oh well, the poster is cool.
THE EXOTIC ONES:
SCORE!!!! I have wanted this poster forever. I'd have preferred to get this under it's alternative name, THE MONSTER AND THE STRIPPER, but I will take what I can get. This shot in New Orleans exploitationer was made by Ron & June Ormond. The Ormonds got their start making westerns. When TV started eating in to the profits of westerns, they switched to horror and exploitation, creating such flicks as MESA OF LOST WOMEN and UNTAMED MISTRESS. From exploitation, they moved into producing country music movies (like FORTY ACRE FEUD and WHITE LIGHTNING ROAD) and then segued into producing roller derby on TV. After a brief return to exploitation (like this flick, THE EXOTIC ONES, and THE GIRL FROM TOBACCO ROAD), their final calling turned out to be making religious scare films, such as THE BURNING HELL and THE GRIM REAPER. This flick features the Ormond's son Tim and stars (as the monster) someone named SLEEPY LABEEF. I kid you not. Zowie!
CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON (2012 French Re-Release):
Although I have a THE CREATURE WALKS AMONG US one sheet, I'll never be able to afford an original CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON poster, so I am thrilled to win this cool French re-release...wallowing in the fact it is in 3D, too!
That is all of the treats I have today, kiddies. I hope your Halloween is spooktacular! May the Great Pumpkin bring you lots of rare and cool poster treats!
Great artwork on that titanic, very detailed! We'd all love a creature lagoon one sheet! The french release is pretty cool! Nice to put a face to the name, great pics!
Hello. Welcome to another SHOCK-O-RAMA POSTER SHOW! 2018 is winding down.... So many posters left to get... Oh well. I guess they'll have to wait for next year.
rockabilly77: Ha! I almost deleted them. I'm glad you liked them. Thanks for visiting.
Sven: I agree with you about the French CREATURE and the TITANIC posters. And thanks for daring to put my scary mug to my name. EEEK!
Matt: Well, thank you. That is so nice of you to say...
Eisenhower: I am glad there is some stuff in the last post you enjoyed. Thank you ever so much for mentioning them. Come back any time.
Here's a look at some of my recent acquisitions. Take a gander...or don't!
THE NIGHT OF THE WALKING DEAD:
I paid way, way, W-A-Y too much for this poster. It is stained and torn and in pretty rough shape. Why bother? Because I had NEVER seen this poster before. Despite the title riffing on NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, this obscure Eurosploitation cheapy is about vampires instead of undead zombies, apparently. I must have been in a special kind of stupid fugue state when I bought this...
HELLFEAST (Advance):
I saw this flick a while back and thought it was good enough to catch on down the road (since it did so poorly at the box office). I got copies of the advance and the release poster for it. When they came up again at a reasonable price, I thought I'd go for it. I lost the regular release poster (which is much, much better), but did get this advance at a rather cheap price. Cool.
THE BURGLAR:
I am a Jayne Mansfield fan. This poster has some issues, but I didn't have one yet. I've never seen the flick though.
BRUNO (Costume):
Every now and again, I am known to buy props that were (supposedly) used in movies. This time, I (supposedly) have some screen-worn costumes in the mix. As I was flipping through the offerings for a recent auction, I came across the shirt (the next item down) I instantly recognized as having seen, worn by an extra, in the film "BRUNO". I thought about getting it, but taken out of context, it might be offensive (well, it IS offensive...but meant to be as part of the parodoxic comedy of the film). I thought, if I get that shirt, I should get something that Bruno wore as well. I didn't have time to track the flick down and I've only seen it once in the theater (It wasn't nearly as good as BORAT). This was said to have been worn by Bruno during the first interview in the film. Since winning it, I can find NO EVIDENCE of that. Ha! Oh well... Maybe it was in Bruno, or maybe I just bought a silly hip outfit I will never wear?
BRUNO (Extra costume):
When I saw this T-shirt for auction, I immediately flashed on seeing it, worn by an extra, in the film BRUNO. From what I read/heard, much of BRUNO (like BORAT) is improvised in front of unwitting people---kind of like a "Candid Camera" thing. To get better reactions from the unsuspecting, extras were used and costumed accordingly and fit in to the scenes. I always thought this shirt was just too much for anyone to really wear in public. Apparently, I was right. This was a costume worn by a planted extra. The photo has been censored...but I think you can figure it out.
THE DORM THAT DRIPPED BLOOD:
This was movie was originally known as PRANKS while in production (I remember it gracing the front page of FANGORIA with that title), but was released as THE DORM THAT DRIPPED BLOOD. I missed this when it came out in the 80s, but had heard good things about it. I finally saw it not long back and...eh. It was forgettable. Oh well.
THE HUNCHBACK OF THE MORGUE (Spanish):
I thought sure I had posted this already, but apparently I didn't. This country of origin poster didn't set me back all that much...so I went for it. I've never seen the flick before, but if it's a Paul Naschy, I am sure it is cheesy watchable.
THE SPY WHO DUMPED ME:
This is certainly NOT the best poster ever. Why buy it? A friend dragged me to see this back in August. I was expecting it to be terrible. Instead, I found myself actually enjoying the film far, far more than I had expected.
STAR WARS I: THE PHANTOM MENACE (3D re-release):
As much as I HATED this "first" episode of the STAR WARS saga when it first came out, I DID go back and see it in its 3D release (because I'm a gimmick whore). I already have a few of these. It was cheap. Sold.
JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH:
Zowie! This is my big coup for this posting. It's the original JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH starring James Mason and Pat Boone. I have always loved this old fantasy flick. Cheesy with primitive effects---it's a fun watch. I've been after the poster for years. So glad it is now mine...
And that's it for now. I'll be back soon. I'm almost done with my NEXT installment already. Ha! I hope your holiday season is ho-ho wonderful.
Happy December! Are you ready for the holidays? I'm not. And a lot of late in the year/early next year expenses have me curtailing my poster purchases. This will probably be my final posting for 2018...
Before the posters though, let me say hello.
Rockabilly777: Hi there! Thanks for the visit. Glad you liked the JOURNEY and HUNCHBACK posters.
Matt: Hello. Yes, I agree with you. The poster is nice and the film is a super flick. I dig it. Thanks for the visit.
Now, let's take a look at the new stuff:
MAUSOLEUM:
Yes, I already have one of these. It came with the poster below it. I've never seen MAUSOLEUM---which surprises the heck out of me. It's probably trash---I'm sure I'd love it.
NIGHT OF THE ZOMBIES:
I remember seeing this flick at a theater that no longer exists back in the day. I had cut class my freshman year of college to see it. I got there in my clunker old Mustang, saw the flick, and got back home. The next time I tried to drive, my car was dead. Phew! Had it died just one trip earlier, I'd have been stranded at the theater...and my class cutting would have been discovered. Ha! And for this movie? Hmm. Not the best zombie flick ever. Far from it, actually. I already have a copy of this poster but thought I'd get an upgrade.
SOLO (Character Advance):
I am reasonably sure I have this already. It was cheap--so why not? This is strictly a low-risk investment. I'm hoping it will increase in value---but who knows?
The COCKTAIL HOSTESSES:
I just picked this up, minutes ago, from eMovie's store. It's not the most exciting poster ever (far from it) and no where does it say this, but this film was written by Ed "PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE" Wood. So, of course, I needed one. This is an A.C. Stephens flick... I've never seen it. I don't know if it is even available anywhere.
HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL / DAUGHTER OF DR. JEKYLL (re-release combo):
I will probably never own a HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL...so this re-release double feature poster will have to do. (I already have a poster for DAUGHTER OF DRACULA...but, whatever...)
WAR-GODS OF THE DEEP:
I saw this poster years ago---and have been trying to get it ever since. I had never seen the movie until very recently. When I finally did see it, well...the desire for the poster waned greatly---and then it became mine. Ha! Great cast--Vincent Price, Tab Hunter, David Tomlinson and Susan Hart--wasted in this wild undersea (badly faked) adventure.
BASKET CASE:
I already have a couple of copies of this poster---but this went much cheaper than I thought it should (or maybe people today don't know the movie? It is AWESOME in its low budget brilliance). The sequels were crap and possibly cheapened the value of the original? I remember sneaking out of the house and pushing my car down the block a ways before starting it so i could see a midnight showing of this flick. I was supposed to meet a friend there...but never found her...so ended up watching it alone. Ha!
THE LOST VOLCANO:
When "Boy" (Johnny Sheffield) from the TARZAN series grew too old for the part---he was shipped off to school and never seen again. But some smart producer took Sheffield and had him star in the Bomba-The Jungle Boy series. I've been trying to track these posters down forever. I score one finally a year or so ago...and now this one. Usually they go so high...but I snagged this one at a surprisingly reasonable price! Whoo hoo!
JAWS (Turkish):
I already have a Turkish JAWS...but it was badly damaged in shipping. (GRRRR!) I needed another and this fit the bill. The added addition of the swimmer in the shark's mouth was inspired. Ha!
THE INCREDIBLY STRANGE CREATURES WHO STOPPED LIVING AND BECAME MIXED-UP ZOMBIES:
This (to me) is the real prize in this posting. INCREDIBLY STRANGE CREATURES... may be one craptastic piece of cinematic sleaze, but it is also amazing in its craptasticness. It's in "Terrorama" and it is (gasp!) "the First Monster Musical"! Ha! I've wanted one of these forever. Finally it is MINE! Whoo HOO!
And that's 10. This is gonna do it for 2018, but I should have more in 2019 (I actually already have two so far to kick the new year off!). May your Christmas be jolly and filled with posters you've been dreaming of. Here is to 2019 being the most amazing year ever!
Happy new year! Welcome to 2019 and a whole new year of poster collecting! Oh boy, what treasures will we find this year?
SVEN: NIGHT OF THE ZOMBIES is also known as HELL OF THE LIVING DEAD and VIRUS. It's nothing special---just okay.
CHARLIE: Thanks--and it is nice to see you. CHEERS!
Below you will find my first new pieces of precious paper for the new year. Granted, some (most?) were purchased in late 2018, but they are making their debut here for the first time! Let's take a peek...
THE CLASS REUNION:
Another of the ED WOOD-penned nudie flicks for AC STEPHEN. I didn't realize it at the time I purchased this, but I ALREADY HAVE a copy of this poster. Oh well. It's always nice to have a spare, I guess. It was cheap anyway...
THE SNOW BUNNIES:
Speaking of ED WOOD-penned nudies for AC STEPHEN, here is another one...THE SNOW BUNNIES! I've never seen any of these WOOD/STEPHEN flicks, but would love to eventually. Notice the four actresses mentioned in THE CLASS REUNION are also the 4-billed stars of SNOW BUNNIES? Ha!
SOLO (Character advance):
I now have three of these (four? five?), I think. (Heck, I had one in my last post!) Cheap posters...I just hope my gamble that they will go up in value will prove true. Hmm.
GIRLS WILL BE GIRLS:
What is this, you ask? It's just the poster for one of the funniest movies I have ever seen, is all. I was taken to see GIRLS WILL BE GIRLS in its brief theatrical run back in 2003. One of my all-time favorite BAD movies is "VALLEY OF THE DOLLS". I was told this was like a comedic send-up of DOLLS. Okay... And while I could see the DOLLS connection (three women trying to make it in Hollywood), it was not very DOLLS-like at all. But it was politically incorrect HILARIOUS. I LOVED it. All of the parts--men, women, child--are portrayed by males. But the drag thing was secondary...and I forgot the "women" were not really women--MOST of the time. (I don't know why they had to be played by drag queens---since they were supposed to be 'real" women. But whatever. It worked.) The poster is not much...but it is fairly difficult to find. I've been looking for years. I thought this flick was so funny, that I sent money to its Kickstarteer campaign in 2010 to help make a sequel, to be called GIRLS WILL BE GIRLS 2012. I'm actually maybe supposed to be in the flick briefly...but as of yet, the sequel film has NOT been released. Oh well...
LIGHTS OUT (lenticular advance):
I think lenticular's are cool. This one just has the light switch off and on...but the movie was good and I got this for $45 plus shipping. Not bad for a lenticular.
V/H/S:
I may have one of these already, but when i saw this on Netflix a while back, I thought it was pretty good. I had no idea it played theatrically, so getting this theatrical poster is groovy for me.
GODZILLA - KING OF THE MONSTERS (2019):
New GODZILLA movie, new poster. I got one early to beat the crazy crowd that makes everything so high priced as it gets closer to the film debuting. While the new GODZILLA flicks are not rocking my world, they are okay. I still need an original GODZILLA and a DESTROY ALL MONSTERS. I think I have the rest of the other original (US) posters...
BLADE RUNNER 2049 (advance):
I usually avoid buying posters for sequels (except the STAR WARS movies as the fans still buy those like crazy...), but this one was an interesting exception. The original goes for big bucks--and how crazy to make a sequel 30 years later. Awesome.
THE INVISIBLE MAN (French petite re-release 2000):
Shocking as it may seem, I have never seen THE INVISIBLE MAN films. (Calm down. Calm down. I do have the LEGACY COLLECTION and am working my way through it. I'll get to this sooner or later. I just finished THE MUMMY flicks...). I really dig the French portrait posters for the early 2000 re-releases. I'll have to get the others, but am happy with this one for now.
THE MONSTER WALKS (1938 re-release 3-sheet):
I've never seen this flick, but understand it is readily available as it is in public domain. I purchased this--at the last minute--in eMovie's December Major Auction, not realizing at the moment that it was a re-release poster. However, a 1932 3-sheet may no longer be known to exist any longer, according to this blurb in the auction: Important Added Info: Note that we have never seen a 1932 three-sheet for this movie (for that matter, we have also never seen a 1932 one-sheet, either!). So we don't know if the 1932 posters would have similar or different images to the 1938 Astor re-release posters (often, Astor posters are very similar to the first release posters). We have seen an Argentinean poster that appears to be from 1932, and that had almost the same image as the 1938 one-sheet, so we think it is likely that this 1938 three-sheet has the same or a similar image as the original 1932 three-sheet. If anyone HAS ever seen a 1932 one-sheet or three-sheet for this movie, please e-mail us and we will post that information here. Also note this three-sheet poster was tri-folded only (which means there is one less vertical machine fold than usual). This means the poster has a significantly lesser number of folds than with three-sheets folded in the "regular" way, which is nice!
Either way, it is a nice-looking poster and I am happy to get it. With this one, i feel like i am starting off the new year right.
Thanks for visiting. I hope 2019 has many wondrous and incredible surprises in store for you.
-House of Terror advert is cool, like the kid-like ghost. -Girls will be Girls-nice color & design. Funny tag lines! -Invisible Man-I’m no modern poster guy, but love the image! -Monster Walks-classic images and colors!
Hello! It is my second post of the new year, and already things are shaping up to be a rather mediocre (at best) year. The posters below represent my continual stupid practice on bidding on just about anything before heading to or secretly while at work---losing all of the good stuff and getting stuck with crap I really do not want. (And speaking of crap I really do not want, I am in the process of getting tons of stuff packaged up and shipped to auction...Why keep all of the flotsam and sludge I really don't want and/or will never hang?) There's not much to see. But if you have a few minutes to waste---feel free to wander around and take a look.
But first...
MATT: Hi. Thanks for the kind words...and YES, i am a journalist. Or, at least, i WAS. I used to write for the newspaper here before going back to school to become a male nurse. Ha!
Eisenhower: Thank you for your comment. I'm glad there are a few things that pleased you. It is always nice to have you visit.
Okay--poster time:
YOUNGBLOOD (Australian daybill):
I never saw this. I don't think I have ever heard of it, actually. I saw that Patrick Swayze was in it and thought that might make it collectible? What was i thinking? That's not even Patrick Swayze in the main photo. (OOPS! But I was looking at my phone secretly at work when I bid. i couldn't tell it was Rob Lowe.) Ha! I'm sure that, as soon as I get it, I'll turn around and get rid of it again.
HOW TO STUFF A WILD BIKINI (Australian daybill):
Another "what was I thinking?" purchase. While I admit I like my "Beach Party" movies and have all of the posters for them already, I went after this one because of the title change. "Stuff" became "Fill" down under because apparently "Stuff" is slang for...well, a four-lettered word beginning with an "F". I thought that was funny...and wonder HOW they got around the opening title theme song. Did they re-record it with "Fill"? Was it cut altogether? If not, I'm sure there were shocked adults and a lot of giggling youngsters when this showed. Ha!
THE FIRST PURGE:
This is the 4th film in the series. Normally I do not bother with sequel posters---with exceptions (Bond, horror franchises I like, etc.). This one I should have let go by as well. However, i have posters for the other three films, so why not?
TRANSYLMANIA:
Another poster I didn't need. What was I thinking when I bought this turd? Well, this spring, I have a big European trip coming up with friends. I'll visit London, Florence, Naples/Pompeii, and Rome. I will be leaving my friends while in London for several days in St. Petersburg (Yes, in RUSSIA!) to visit another friend. I have another friend in Romania I am toying with the idea of going to see while we are in Florence for a week. Looking into that possibility (which I am thinking more and more about making a reality), I realized that the Transylvania area of Romania is only a few hours drive from Bucharest, where my Romanian friend lives. Hmm. Maybe I can get up there as well? While heavily excited about the possibility of seeing the real Transylvania, this poster came up and I bought just because. I've never seen the flick and I am guessing it is bad, bad, BAD. Oh well...
QUERELLE (German):
I have been thinking a lot about my poster-collecting friend who committed suicide two years ago. I bought a lot of his posters when they came to auction---but a lot I had to let go to others. I remember this particular poster was one I let go. I remember thinking the front of the sailor guy's undershirt was strangely too low cut. It looks like he has boobs with a hairy cleavage (well, it IS I guess)...it almost looks like a hairy butt. Dumb, random thought---but that is why I remember this poster. I've never seen QUERELLE, so I have no idea if it is any good or not. I also have no idea why I bought this because I am reasonably sure it is NOT Scott's copy. UGH!
ALIEN (Large French):
This is one of those posters I recently bought after remembering an auction was happening and trying to quickly sneak a look on my phone (with tiny pictures) and just bid blindly. When I bid, i had no idea this was French. UGH! I already have an ALIEN poster. It was one of the first posters I ever had as a kid...so it is not in the best condition. i wanted this as a replacement. Now I'll just turn around and sell it again...
FRIDAY THE 13TH PART VII--THE NEW BLOOD (International one sheet):
Why did I buy this? I already have a few copies of the domestic version. UGH!!!! What a waste of cash-o-rama.
ANDY WARHOL'S BLUE MOVIE (German):
I do like my Warhol posters....and this was not released in the US. But why am I not loving it? Hmm.
HERE COMES THE DEVIL:
This poster is not that exciting...but to me, it is the "winner" of the bunch. I've never seen this flick, but I have heard good things about it. Hopefully, if I do see it, it will live up to its reputation and be the sole positive purchase out of all of these in today's post. (If it sucks, well... Back into the resale pile it goes...)
Okay--we are done. Jump for joy. Now you can get outta here.
I'll see you next time. (That is, if you bother to return. Hmm...)
Hello and welcome back. It's time for more posters and again...there's not much to be excited about. Hmm. Well, since you are, you might as well take a look. There may be something that catches your eye...
But first:
Matt: Thanks for the positive words for a less than stellar posting. I appreciate it.
Sven: Always good to see you here, Sven. I'm glad the post was at least entertaining. Feel free to visit any time.
BAD TIMES AT THE EL ROYALE (International Style A teaser):
I never saw this movie, but I remember thinking the trailer for it made it look good. I DID want to go. I thought I would at least get the poster and maybe I'll see the flick sometime? Did anyone see it? Is it worth my time? Hmm.
ANTIBIRTH:
I've never seen this. The poster is colorful, but the art is...eh. However, the film intrigues me now---which is why I went for the poster. Just look at those reviews; "Gross as Hell" and "Epically F***ED-UP!" Wow! I need to see this. I have a copy sitting in my cart on Amazon even as I write this... ha!
KISS ME, STUPID:
Hmm. This was cheap. I don't think I've ever heard of it---but Kim Novak? Dean Martin? In a film by Billy Wilder? I thought this was probably a bargain and snatched it up...but I am not sure. hmm.
THE GREATEST SHOWMAN (Style B advance):
I'm still on the fence about this purchase. Did I need it? NO.
THE PREDATOR (style A teaser):
I'm also unsure about the wisdom of getting this poster. Is it a remake or a sequel. i didn't bother to see it. I do have a poster for all of the other PREDATOR films though (why I have them, I'm not quite sure...but...)
THE SEVEN MAGNIFICENT GLADIATORS:
Not a HERCULES film, but along the same lines---from the brief revitalized interest in the 80s. I've never seen it. It's probably crap. oh well.
I DEMONI (aka THE DIRT GANG) (Italian 4 F):
UGH! Bad bid again...this was another quickie bid on my phone at work. I thought the poster looked cool...a wild Charles Manson-looking dude and a title like "I Demoni"--it sounded up my alley. Who knew it was something released here as "The Dirt Gang"? That sounds utterly dull (as dirt). And it turned out to be a 4 F. I hate that size! Grr...
HORROR EXPRESS (German):
I have a lot of different posters for HORROR EXPRESS--all with different art work. This art is, in my opinion, the preferred art for the film. I'm glad to have it.
THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH (International):
I have the US release, but have never had this International poster for the second to the last of the Pierce Brosnan Bond films. I liked this outing--despite Denise Richards playing a scientist (named Christmas Jones, or something like that). Ha!
TWO LOST WORLDS:
I've seen this poster only once before. I have never seen the flick. I wonder if the dinosaur scenes are just borrowed from other old films or new? (It looks cheap---I'm guessing the shots are borrowed. Ha!) "Jim Arness" is really James Arness from the old "Gunsmoke" TV show (I looked that up at least). The poster is kind of fun---but the dinosaurs look like the artist was from the 7th grade or something. Ha!
And that's it for now. Thanks for visiting. I know the collection was not all that fab this time...but it was a step up from last time. (Hopefully) I'm already working on the next installment. Stay tuned.
Another entertaining selection, Shawn! Ferrigno and Two Lost Worlds both make it worth the price of admission. Popcorn needed more butter, tho. Keep ‘em coming!
Welcome! Can you believe it is February already? Jeepers! 2019 is off to a go-go crazy fast pace already. Here are some new posters---some not so fab, others are kind of cool (maybe). So have a seat, make yourself comfortable and let's cha-cha-cha our way through them, shall we?
But first...
Rockabilly777: It is always a delight to see you here. Thank you for the comment. I'm sorry the popcorn wasn't buttery enough. This one is on the house today. CHEERS!
THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG:
Do I have this already? Hmm. I think I do. Disney's first African-American princess tale. I've not seen it, but hope to. I understand there's voodoo and supernatural stuff (all G-rated, of course) in it. How fun.
THE WEIRD WORLD OF LSD (Article style, trimmed):
Normally I would be THRILLED to get this poster. However, it was a last minute bid and...oops! I didn't realize until after my bid was placed that it was TRIMMED. Grrr! Back in the resell pile it goes...
WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY (re-release):
I have a few copies of this. I also have an original release poster as well. I love this film. It's scrumdiddlyumptious! Speaking of Wonka, a while back the makers of CARDS AGAINST HUMANITY had an open call, looking for people who were clever enough to write their cards for future editions. If you know the game, you know how random and how politically incorrect it is. I submitted some things, but the only one that was any good (that I even still remember) was this: "A Golden Ticket to your anus". I thought that was clever--but, alas, they never called. Oh well.
STREETS OF FIRE:
Never saw this....
WATCHMEN (Teaser):
I saw this, but don't remember much other than a naked blue giant ghost guy. I thought it had become a cult favorite---and I bid a token amount for this...and it became mine. Maybe I was mistaken about its cult status? Oh well. It was cheap...
PREHISTORIC WOMEN:
Do I already have one of these? While I am reasonable sure that I do, I'm not 100% positive...so I got this copy. Did I really need it? NO! Hmm. It's a small consolation prize as I missed almost everything else I was watching in the auction (as I completely forgot about it until about an hour in... Yikes!). Oh well...
THE UNTOUCHABLES:
I saw this when it came out in theaters originally. All I remember is the baby carriage scene, with the carriage descending stairs---or just about to (even that memory is murky. Jeepers!).But when i saw this poster at auction, even though it is a more modern poster, I really liked the layout and went for it.
RETURN OF THE JEDI (Style A):
I'm no STAR WARS fan. I did see all of them (except "Episodes II and III") in the theaters. This went cheap and I bought it as an investment. I'll turn around and sell it sooner than later.
GHOSTBUSTERS (International):
I have another one of these. This is my favorite style of GHOSTBUSTERS posters as it has the "no Ghost" symbol, a shot of the cast, and it has the title. (I really don't like the one sheet that has the "no Ghost" symbol---and nothing else, not even the title.) Did I need it? No. Am I glad I bought it? Not really... Oh well.
I WAS A TEENAGE FRANKENSTEIN:
I have long wanted one of these (and its companions I WAS A TEENAGE WEREWOLF and HOW TO MAKE A MONSTER). This one has been on eBay forever...and I've been watching it just as long. The price has dropped little by little with no takers. Why? The word "Frankenstein" is on the fold line and the paper has torn through somewhat on the "A" and "N"...so it has some minor issues. it could be linenbacked, but I think it will be okay simply framed. You really can't tell that easily. I'm pleased with it...I think.
Okay... You came. You saw. You wasted a few minutes. Yikes---that is even MORE time gone from February. Zowie! The year is just flying by.
I've already got several posters ready for next time. So stay tuned. I'll be back...
Nice stroll down poster lane. Princess/Frog is a refreshingly well done poster. I like the thought of Disney sprinkled with voodoo. Ghostbusters and Jedi are standouts of an era. Good choices. Teenage Frankenstein has to be the winner of the group, but congrats on all.
What a cornucopia Shawn! Lotsa paper to like in your latest spread!
I’m not a new poster guy, but Watchman is very cool! And some classics I’m still to get, Jedi, Untouchables & your sweet style Ghostbusters are all on my to-get list.
Welcome back! My 2019 semi-slump-o-rama continues with some good stuff...and more crap I didn't need. Oh well. Take a gander (if you dare). You may become paralyzed with SHOCK and HORROR (...shock and horror that I actually bothered to buy some of the crap you'll see laid before your very eyes)! Can your heart stand the terror of scrolling down for a look-see!?! You have been WARNED. Proceed with caution:
But first...
Rockabilly777: Thank you, as always, for your visit and comment. Yes, I WAS A TEENAGE FRANKENSTEIN was my fave-a-gogo from the last batch. I am glad there are others you also liked. THE FROG AND THE PRINCESS is well done. That makes me feel a tad better about buying it. Ha! You are always welcome here.
Eisenhower: Hi there. Thank you for your visit as well. It is nice to see you here. I am glad you like the GHOSTBUSTERS international style. I'm also thrilled some of the more modern posters I got (WATCHMEN and UNTOUCHABLES) floated your boat a bit, too. I avoid--for the most part--the newer stuff.
Okay--poster time:
MANNEQUIN:
Good lord.... whatEVER possessed me to buy this? Sure, it's an 80's flick and the first in a series (of two), but REALLY? MANNEQUIN? I have NO IDEA why this ended up being bid on by me at all...
MIDNIGHT EXPRESS (International):
This is normally NOT my kind of movie. Someone dragged me off to go see this when it first came out. It turned out that I loved this flick. It was deserving of it's Oscar nominations. But the poster? Snore... I so did NOT need it. I already have the US version (which is also rather dull). WHY did I bid? WHY???
SUPER FLY T.N.T.:
I have never seen this flick or its predecessor, but I really have a thing for blaxploitation flicks from the 70's...especially the horror titles. I have a SUPER FLY poster, but was not sure about the sequel. So...
THE SEX MACHINE:
This is a god-awful, badly dubbed Euro sex comedy from the 70s that played a LOT on Cinemax or Showtime or something back in the day. The best thing about it is the poster. I had a bad copy of the poster and wanted a better one. So, I got this one. However, I have since realized that I already BOUGHT a better copy---last October (yes, less than 4 months ago!). ARGH!!!! I had totally forgotten and I spent way too much money trying to get this one. GRRR.
CONCORDE AFFAIRE '79 (Italian):
This was cheap. I didn't need it, but I love my disaster movies (especially from the 1970s) and I love my Italian ripoff flicks. Ripoff, you ask? Yes! You might have this title confused with Universal's AIRPORT sequel from the same year, THE CONCORDE, AIRPORT '79. To confuse moviegoers even more, not only does it steal elements from AIRPORT '79...it also steals from the underwater crash and rescue from the previous AIRPORT '77 and features JOSEPH COTTON who was in AIRPORT '77. I have the flick on DVD, but have not watched it yet. (Someday...) The whole mess (I've heard it is awful) was directed by Ruggero (billed as "Roger". Ha!) Deodato, who is most famous for his flick CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST. This film also stars James Franciscus, Mimsy Farmer, Edmund Purdon, and Van Johnson.
MS 45 (legs version):
I have been wanting this a poster for this flick forever. I've never seen the movie, but I want to. I've seen this poster pop up many times before, but always in a condition that I didn't want. Finally, after many years, there came one in a condition I could live with. This is such a great, sexploitive poster. It is much better than the alternate poster for the film, featuring a Hefty bag with a bloody arm hanging out of it.
REVENGE OF THE DEAD:
Also known as ZEDER, this poster art is very cool and suckered me into renting this flick back in the VHS days. The film itself is AWFUL! I don't really think there was even a single zombie in it. Utter crap---but, like I said, great zombie art on the poster. Apparently the Code Red version of the film, released on disc as ZEDER, is uncut and the REVENGE OF THE DEAD version that was released here theatrically and on VHS was heavily edited. What was missing, I could not say...but it is doubtful i'll bother with it ever again (unless I become a hopeless insomniac).
NIGHT OF THE ZOMBIES:
This crap-o-rama Italian film by Bruno Mattei is better known today as HELL OF THE LIVING DEAD on DVD and BLU RAY, However, it was released here in early 1984 as NIGHT OF THE ZOMBIES. Cool poster art, but stupid movie. Of COURSE I have it. Ha! I got another copy of this poster not long back...but for whatever reason, I went for it AGAIN. I'm a sucker for zombies... When this (and other unrated flicks) came out with the self-imposed "No One Under 17 Admitted" (which, I think, started with DAWN OF THE DEAD) fortunately my local theaters viewed this as meaning they were rated R. Although I was of age when NIGHT OF THE ZOMBIES came out, with others (such as DAWN...), I had to either have my grandmother (!!!) take me or try to pass for being 17. I don't think I was ever turned away. Ha!
FRANKENSTEIN (2008 French re-release):
Although it is a modern poster using just photographic elements, I really dig these French re-releases. I have a small INVISIBLE MAN from this series, but I want to get a larger version of it to match this poster, as well as THE BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN poster. Were any others re-released with similar posters? It would be great to get the full Universal monster series as done like these posters.
THE KILLER SHREWS:
Another groovy score (in a posting of mostly NOT so groovy scores), this poster is for the old 1950s shocker. (Well, shocker may be too kind of a word....perhaps "snorer" would be more appropriate?) Giant killer shrews attack people on an island (I think it was an island). The shrews were actually small dogs in fierce costumes and the film itself is pretty dull and typical of the output of the period. Third-billed Ken Curtis went on to play Festus on "GUNSMOKE". Believe it or not, there is a statue of Curtis as Festus standing in the Old Town section of my city. (Curtis lived here briefly, apparently.) There was also a modern, direct-to-video sequel in 2012, THE RETURN OF THE KILLER SHREWS, It's out of print and the used copies are kind of pricey. Anyone see it? Any good?
Okay---congratulations! If you are reading this, you've survived the crap and slogged on through to the (hopefully) better stuff. But now we are done---at least for now. Thank you for visiting. Have a groovy day.
Hello, and welcome back. This poster haul is not that stellar. I vote you skip it now and save yourself the bother. Why post it then? So I have a visual record of what I have.
But you may notice there are only 8 posters instead of my customary 10. That is because this will be the last post for awhile...at least until late April or, more likely, sometime in May or June. I'm leaving on a trip to Europe for several weeks and won't be home until the 18th or so. These 8 are all of the new stuff I have to share at the moment.
But first...
Eisenhower: I'm glad there was a piece or two in that last post that worked for you. Thanks for visiting and leaving the note. It is always nice to see you here.
Okay, take a look below or don't. I'll be seeing you...
KENNY & CO:
I didn't need this when I came across it...and I think I already have one anyway. (Which is good because--argh!--I did not notice the rating has a snipe over it. Grrr!) KENNY & CO. is an early Don "Phantasm" Coscarelli flick. When I was a kid during winter break of 1978, my parents took my brother and me to San Diego. We stayed in this ordinary hotel that sort of became magical to my brother and I. I can't remember all of the cool things that happened, but there was a vending machine that gave us free ice creams. Ha!) There was cable TV in the room. KENNY & CO was on it and we LOVED it. We watched it several times and would mention to each other occasionally through the years. A long while back it was released on DVD and I bought us each a copy. Watching it as an adult...well, it didn't seem at all what I recalled and was not that great to my grown up eyes. Oh well. The poster takes me back to the magic of December 1978 somewhat, at least.
LOVE ISLAND:
This was probably a stupid purchase--and I got it super cheap. If nothing else, i can put it in my tiki room---if I ever have a tiki room. Why did I buy it? Although I have never seen it, the fact it stars Eva Gabor as an island native (probably the only native girl with an inexplicable Hungarian accent) screamed out high camp to me...kind of like Zsa Zsa being the only Venusian with a Hungarian accent in QUEEN OF OUTER SPACE.But this flick apparently features BLAZING LIPS and THROBBING ADVENTURE! Oh my!!!
SEPTEMBER STORM:
Yes, I have this poster already---several times over. I can't help it. I just see an old 3D poster and I have to make it mine...especially when it goes so cheaply...even though I have several already. And I have yet to see the flick (But I do have the 3D blu ray---I just need a 3D TV. ARGH!)
THE WATCHER IN THE WOODS:
I've never seen this supernatural (?) Disney movie (one of their first rated--gasp!-- PG! Jeepers!), but I was always curious about it. I don't think it got very good reviews and I don't think it was a box office success...but... And Lifetime apparently remade it with Angelica Houston in the Bette Davis role. Which is better? Hmm. Whatever--this was a cheap poster.
THE OMEN (Turkish):
This Turkish OMEN poster is one of my favorite Turkish posters. Yes, I already have a copy of this. I'm a spaz. I do not know how else to explain it.
HATCHET:
I had no idea HATCHET played theatrically until I saw this poster for sale. Of course, i bought it--despite it being not so very exciting.
JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM: (Teaser)
The Jurassic Park series has been around a long while---with some good entries and some not so great. This last one was pretty good, but the previous chapter was better. I didn't like the posters for the last installment and don't really buy posters for sequels in general (I do in some instances---like my horror and Bond franchises). Still, I liked the art on this one, so...
CAPTAIN SINBAD (Italian 2F):
I am really delighted with this little find. Italian posters were (past tense...since everyone does quick/cheap Photoshop stuff these days) so wonderfully painted back in the day. I've got a collection of Sinbad movies, including the US release of this film. However, for some reason, the US poster calls the film "CAPTAIN SINDBAD" and that extra "D" just bugs the crap out of me. I don't know why they did it. ALL of the cinematic Sinbads I've tracked down have always used the single "D" spelling. My only guess is they were trying to avoid any copyright infringement from "THE SEVENTH VOYAGE OF SINBAD" at the time? Who knows... Who cares...? I'm just glad to have this. Yippie!
Okay---I know that wasn't much, but it is all I have at the moment. I'll see you after my trip...in May or June at the earliest (if I can afford anything. Europe will be expensive---and I can just hear my wallet crying already. Ha!)
Tickets! Get your tickets! The Shock-O-Rama Poster Show is about to begin...
Hi there. I am back from my trip and finally have a few more poster to share. I did NOT find anything in Europe to buy, unfortunately...yet I have a couple of stories about Europe to share here. Anyway, the staff is ready to help you find your seat. The show will be starting in just a moment. ENJOY!
GONE WITH THE WIND (1954 re-release):
I just got back from spending several weeks in Europe. While in England, I met/visited with a female movie poster collector friend o' mine and gifted her with a 1961 re-release poster for GONE WITH THE WIND.
Then, on the l-o-n-g 12 1/2 hour flight home from Rome, I watched several movies. To help eat up time, one of the flicks I watched was GONE WITH THE WIND. While I was gone, I had occasionally logged on to poster auction sites. I'd bid randomly on an item here or there, but didn't follow the auction as the time zones were all off for me and I was busy playing tourist. I won nothing, or so I thought...
When I got home, I visited my auction sites to see what was going on. Was there anything new I needed to watch? And there, on Heritage, was an invoice. I had won a 1954 re-release for GONE WITH THE WIND. While not nearly as nice as the one I gave my friend, I had absolutely NO MEMORY of bidding on it. Ha!
THE CURSE OF LA LLORONA:
When I was in Russia, I stumbled into a food court (which they called Food Park). Although some may consider me an adventurous traveler, I'm NOT adventurous when it comes to food. I don't like a lot of things and I had no idea what a lot of Russian dishes were (let alone how to pronounce them). I went up the escalator in the Food Park looking for the Burger King (Burger Czar?) that was advertised as being up there. (I usually hate Burger King, but... I knew what it was.) The upstairs turned out to be a lobby for a movie theater. (There was a Burger King food court hidden up there as well.) I saw posters for things like SHAZAM and the new AVENGERS flick---all in Russian, of course. And then I saw this poster:
Zowie! That looked creepy cool. What was that? I had no clue.
Upon arrival home, I was happily surprised to see the same poster...in English (well, mostly) for the new horror flick LA LLORONA, which I had no idea was even coming out. I quickly snatched up the poster as I had been fascinated by what it could be since seeing it in St Petersburg. Of course, now I've actually seen the movie and...well, it's okay, but nothing new or original. Just the same ol' horror schlock from THE CONJURING people (think THE NUN or INSIDIOUS). Oh well... Still a cool image.
THE BLACK GESTAPO:
Thankfully I already have one of these--with the correct title. This was in an auction when I first got home. I hadn't previewed anything and had to bid early as I worked. THE BLACK GESTAPO is a cool poster. I couldn't believe it was going for so little. (I had paid much more for my other copy.) It was only after I was home from work and I had won the poster that I realized...oops! This version had been re-titled GHETTO WARRIORS. UGH! I'll just turn around and resell it later. Curiously though, it still says "BLACK GESTAPO" in the lower credits. Hmm.
THE MONSTER THAT CHALLENGED THE WORLD/THE RETURN OF DRACULA/THE VAMPIRE (triple feature re-release):
Do you have guts? Can you take 15,000 terrifying seconds of horror in one show! Ha! I may have this poster already---I'm not sure. But just in case, I couldn't let this triple feature re-release poster go. It's just too cool! Apparently this re-release featured green-tinted (or perhaps just a green filter put on the projector?) film as it is "presented in GRUESOME GREEN"! AWESOME!!!
RACE WITH THE DEVIL:
I saw this movie on TV when I was a kid...and the story stuck with me. Recently (as in within the last week) I finally gave it another watch. While the idea of the movie is truly horrifying, the movie itself is agonizingly s-l-o-w. Oh well. I have a one sheet already, but it has missing corners. I have long been searching for a replacement---but they always escaped my grasp. Luckily I scored this one and not at a bad price either. Hooray!
THE THING WITH TWO HEADS:
This is my prize of the current batch o' posters...and is a poster I've wanted for years. THE THING WITH TWO HEADS is not a very good movie (and I just re-watched it a few months back)...but what a concept! Too fab! I love it and am thrilled to have such a cheesy, sleazy schlock film poster. Zowie!
ALPHA AND OMEGA (lenticular):
I didn't need this at all (In fact, I think I may already have one), but lenticular posters are so very groovy cool. Even for a movie that has already faded from most people's memories, I couldn't let this lenticular go. Hello? It was less than $20.
BIRTH OF THE LIVING DEAD:
This and the poster below were "won" by placing bids on things and letting luck of the draw decide what I won and lost. Neither of these things I needed desperately...and the ones I really wanted were (of course) snatched from my hands. Oh well. I might have this already, but wasn't sure (and didn't have time to check when I was placing bids). But as a documentary on George Romero's classic NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, I thought it might be a fun addition to my collection.
CALENDAR GIRLS:
Here is something else I might already have a copy of...and I didn't really need, but... I do like the quasi-trompe l'oeil aesthetic of the poster with the calendar seemingly popping off the flat surface of the poster. Never saw the flick...but am guessing it is/was an early adult flick? It seems to be a "lost" film. Hmm.
LOVE ME DEADLY (Spain):
This is NOT the most interesting of posters ever/. In fact it is boring, actually. But it is the ONLY paper I have ever seen for this weird title, LOVE ME DEADLY. This movie, if you never heard of it, hails from the 1970s and is about necrophilia (!!!!), long before NECROMANTIK or even THE CORPSE BRIDE were even thought of. It co-stars Lyle Waggoner from TV's WONDER WOMAN and Christopher Stone of THE HOWLING. I've only seen the movie once---and it wasn't that great. It could use a remake---but who is gonna tackle a subject like this? Ha! I think the girl in the flick was not only obsessed with corpses, but specifically corpses that reminded her of her father---taking this flick into another whole realm of weirdness (Incestuous necrophilia fantasy? WTF!?!). Freaky.
Okay, that's it for this time. Thanks for visiting. Stay tuned for more.
Comments
CHEERS!
BOO!
CHEERS!
Whoo HOO!
Here's the trailer for this obscure oddity:
https://youtu.be/gMMkrdy1_0I
Oh heck...here's the whole freaked-out film. Ha!:
https://youtu.be/49ykXWsMjG0
And that's 10. This is gonna do it for 2018, but I should have more in 2019 (I actually already have two so far to kick the new year off!). May your Christmas be jolly and filled with posters you've been dreaming of. Here is to 2019 being the most amazing year ever!
CHEERS!
CHEERS!
Can you rate for us the best modern posters in your mind?
-House of Terror advert is cool, like the kid-like ghost.
-Girls will be Girls-nice color & design. Funny tag lines!
-Invisible Man-I’m no modern poster guy, but love the image!
-Monster Walks-classic images and colors!
great start to 2019!
Hmm...)
CHEERS!
Stay tuned.
CHEERS!
CHEERS!
I’m not a new poster guy, but Watchman is very cool! And some classics I’m still to get, Jedi, Untouchables & your sweet style Ghostbusters are all on my to-get list.
PS-the Dorothy/Toto picture is really cool!
Cheers!
Its an 80’s standard for sure! ?
I am digging the Frankenstein, it has a “grittyness†to it even though it’s a newer RR.
And the Killer Shrews has really cool color, artwork-nice pickup!
Ha!)
Thanks for looking. Have a groovy day.
CHEERS!
Cheers!
