  • Thank you Bruce. This was a tough one with so much white space. Today’s finished product.
  • Nicely done
  • Not seen in auction, this poster from 1935 needed a lot of work. Heavy toning, stains, tape and paper loss. This restoration was very successful in bringing pack a poster that was decaying away.
  • Great result. What a beautiful poster.
  • Thank you, gaining new processing and confidence with each poster restoration.
  • Before and after of some nice sci-fy half sheets.
The colors are back to vivid after the bath, and fold lines relaxed.
  • A nice British Quad restored to repair large tear, remove fold lines and bring back the color.
  • Today’s restoration.
  • Some before and after of a very famous movie. I was able to get all the stains out and bring back the colors.
  • Today’s restoration, note before picture paper loss, toning, and heavy fold lines.  The after shows if fully restored using conservation techniques, following the path.
  • My 150th poster restoration.
  • Starting to restore higher end posters, happy with the results.
  • Latest restoration
  • Latest restoration. This poster had heavy fold lines, and paper loss, and the early stages of toning. After a submersion in the bath, some paper matching and fill, and touch up, it is back to its original rare glory.
  • This will be my final post in this section. I am thankful for the support I have received in my quest to learn linen backing process. The path is very helpful, and my own process improvements philosophy has helped me achieve my goals.
    Thanks Charlie!
  • Any idea what type of paper and weight is used for a 3-sheet?

  • For linenbacking? The same masa as the one sheet - just have to get the sider roll from talas or create an overlap.
  • Thanks Charlie
Quick question, do you actually overlap, or butt up the papers?

  • Travel posters we recently restored.

  • Nice…
  • My restoration for today.
