    Love these guys!

  • I'm impressed. Chris, I saw them many a time over the years, great band, I am lucky enough to have all first pressings (vinyl albums) up to Waiata which I bought each time they were released. Their first album and the first pressing of Mental Notes is very rare/valuable - it has Phil Judd saying "Make a mental note" in the run-out groove of the record's second side, causing the phrase to be looped ad infinitum until the needle was removed from it...I did not know this until I read it on Wiki many many years later, at the time I thought I had a scratch on the record! Fortunately I did not throw it out (!), I actually played a couple of albums a month or so ago - turning them over is a bitch.
  • I thought I spotted a turntable behind the chair! Thats old-school! I've heard that in someways give better sound?
  • That is indeed a turntable, it's in our formal lounge right beside my office/study,so when nostalgia hits I crank it up, that said I also have a iPod cradle running through the amp, like I said turning over the record can get a bit annoying after a while.

Better sound? I'd say it's a different sound, truth be told it's proibably a more nostalgic sound rather than being better.

    Very cool David!
  • This is ours. My oldest daughter chose a red one, small because we were living in a small apartment back then. The big fancy one is in my parent's house...

  • Is that a portrait of you Matias drawn by one of your daughters?  The resemblance is uncanny!

  • :D

I'ts actually a self portrait of my oldest. All the prettiness she has, comes from my genes, so in a way is it is...  ;)
