  • The after and before for this one sheet originally paperbacked. The backing was water damaged causing wrinkles and discoloration. We were able to remove the backing in a bath and restore.
  • This poster was heavily toned, with deep fold lines, and foreign stamps.
After a wash following the path, the poster cleaned up well.

  • RIP
  • One of my favorite movies. Heavy fold lines disappear after the bath. The colors are also more vivid.
  • A full restoration for this old movie poster was needed to bring back to its full vivid colors!
  • This our 400th poster restoration!

  • Very happy how this turned out following the path!
  • Today’s restoration. Trying a different approach to fold lines, worked nicely.

  • Another great result using new fold line technique to make completely flat fold lines.

  • For you horror movie fans, today’s restoration, elimination of the fold lines.

  • Wow! I can’t believe how much the colour pops on that Bond poster!
  • Thank you, washing is a critical step in the process.
  • Was it bleached as well?
  • Yes it was bleached.
  • Recent restoration.
  • High end poster
  • Come Live with Me is a 1941 American romantic comedy film produced and directed by Clarence Brown and starring James StewartHedy Lamarr and Ian Hunter. Based on a story by Virginia Van Upp, the film is about a beautiful Viennese refugee seeking United States citizenship who arranges a marriage of convenience with a struggling writer.
This poster had toning, heavy multiple fold lines, and minor paper loss until we restored it.

  • I’m new here, but I’m looking at the thread and appreciate the before and afters. I would like to start backing soon, but still trying to figure it all out.

I personally am not a fan of restoration of film posters, mainly for the extent of how often it takes place.
On saying that I do enjoy viewing all the poster images that you get to display here.
