Well done!

To me it looks like Nov 10 is on the top poster but covered by a white substance, perhaps to obscure the date so it reads only "Saturday" I'd suggest they're the same poster.
-
Yes, that one looks better than the two above which were what I was referring to.

I wonder whether those Regent Films posters could have been printed in house? We used to have screen printing frames at school, so it's a very simple and cheap process to use. It would have saved them a lot of money in printing costs.

Surely that's not first release is it?
-
Sounds like Agnes' reputation preceded her!
-
My thought though is that it wasn't a standard printing and could have been done by a smaller company that specialised in hand screen printing. Hand screen printing has been used for centuries.

The dancers were probably a Busby Berkeley dance troupe of chorus girls flown in for the filming!

(Quote) Check this video out to see how small screen print runs can be done quickly and cheaply, that could be why there aren't many of these posters around.
I'm assuming they were hand screen printed where they put blobs of paint on a screen and squeegee it onto paper, that would explain the variations, and also allow for small print runs at low expense. The main page looks off centre when I visited it today. That large gold strip on the right is odd isn't it? Or is this a change?

It looked like the model work from Gerry Anderson productions so I thought it was going to be that era anyway. The no puppets clue was a dead giveaway. The wording of the tagline is a bit odd to me. WHEN WAS THE TIME YOU LAST STOOD UP AND APPLAUDED A MOVIE!
I think it would read better (at least in these days) as WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU STOOD UP AND APPLAUDED A MOVIE?Is 234 journey to the far side of the Sun (1969)?More Valhalla content for you. The premiere of Buckeye and Pinto back in 1980.
https://www.youtube.com/w…Didn't even know there was an earlier version! I always learn things from this quiz.Obvious when you compare them!Looks like Barry is still involved, might be worth reaching out to out to him.

I think Barry Peak might still be at Nova Cinema in Melbourne.
Here's an article about Chris and Barry (from 2017 though).

Worst poster design ever, for the Worst films ever made. Rather appropriate.Lovely original daybill!I was talking about the Valhalla in Richmond, but that image was from the Glebe Valhalla. I sued to go to the Richmond Valhalla regularly to watch classics and revivals.
