Cataloging the Printers
Because Hondo has opened our eyes to the world of the movie poster printer to a level we have not considered before perhaps we should list all the names of the printers that we have on the bottom of Australian movie posters that we know of, remembering some of the printers also used different variations of their names on the poster

Hondo's response to my question a while back on whether Simmons printed all RKO posters:
Simmons did the majority of RKO posters.Of interest Simmons didn't appear to go into printing one sheets but I did sight a one sheet of The Window ( 1949 )
RKO posters were also printed by-
Victory Publicity ( one sheets mainly but I found a daybill of Escape To Burma from 1955 ) ( one sheet examples 1947 to 1955 with one excepton A Woman Rebels 1936 ).
F. Cunninghame & Co. ( mainly one sheets but some daybills also with a lot of re-release titles.) ( some of the posters had ''with art by Southern studios"' printed on them)
Marchant & Co. ( Gunga Din one sheet & Ball Of Fire daybill )
Robert Burton ( The Violators daybill )
Unknown printer/s with only blank space where the printers name would have been printed. ( daybills & one sheets ) ( Mainly 1954 / 1957 )
I have some others to add including a few obscure printers. I have been away and only arrived home a few hours ago. Excellent thread David and I will respond when time permits.I have compiled information over the years and research is still ongoing. I have information on the years the individual printers, to the best of my knowledge, produced posters also .This information is often hard to pin down due to re--issues.

Over the years I have located countless daybill and Australian one sheet images, particularly in the very late 1950's and early 1960's without a printers name credited on them at all. I have listed them for myself over the years and one day I will possibly start a thread on this site.I think this fact should be mentioned on this current thread as a interesting piece of information as major titles were printed and most likely we will never know who the printers were.

Two MGM colour daybill posters in 1945 with M & C printed on them.The style indicates the poster's M & C is an abbreviation of Marchant And Co.

Finally found my lists on Australian printers I have compiled over the years from actually sighting the daybills and one sheets. I have 20 new variations on printers already listed but all appeared on the posters, with certain name variations with only slight differences.

Following some quick research on some thoughts I had I will say now without 100% proof the printer is Gilprint and David's question on the why regarding the three The Big Top posters on his thread of One Film Multiple Printers I believe that I have the answer to this poster's printings and releases..
